The Rapture And The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ

The Rapture And The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ

Rapture-Bible
One of the questions people ask about the second coming of Jesus is, “when will Jesus come and how are we going to know when he comes?” People also ask for the difference between the rapture and the second coming. These questions are not new questions that came up this recent time. In the Bible, we could see that the disciples of Jesus asked the same question even when Jesus was with them. Luke 21:7 “And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?” The reason why most people want to know when Jesus will come or what will be the signs of his second coming is that they want to adjust and change the way they live before Jesus comes.
The truth is that even with all these signs that were given by Jesus for us to know when his second coming is close, no one can know when he will come. About two thousand years ago, Jesus promised that he would be back and the second coming is to judge the world and to rule with the saints. That is what we the believers are waiting for, to reign with Christ.
When people hear about the second coming of Jesus, what they think about is the rapture. I have heard many people describe the rapture to be the second coming of Jesus. Is this true? Is the second coming of Jesus the same as the rapture? There had been a lot of misconceptions about these two and people don’t seem to know the difference between the two. Rapture is different from the second coming of Christ. I must make clear that both are coming of Jesus Christ but in different forms. The simple explanation I will give to differentiate the two is that rapture which is the first part of the second coming is the word that is used to describe the time when the believers will be caught up in the air to meet Jesus. They will be taken away from the earth so they don’t face the great tribulation that will come after (1 Thessalonians 4:17). On the other hand, the second coming is the time when Jesus will come back to the earth with the saints that were caught up in the air earlier. It is the time when the enemies of God would be wiped away from the earth. Micah 5:9. In the second part of the second coming, the form Jesus will take is the form of a warrior because he will come to make justice. Revelation 19:11-16.
Jesus gave the things that must happen before the rapture comes, these things are called signs of the end time. These are to happen before the rapture. In Matthew 24, Jesus mentioned the signs of the end time. There will be deception, people deceiving people, calling themselves Jesus. There will also be wars and rumors of wars. During this time, nations will rise against nations and kingdom against kingdom. All of these are to take place before the rapture.
The second is the one called the second coming of Jesus. There are no signs for this but there are things mentioned that will happen exactly when Jesus comes after the great tribulation. We must have heard different things from different people about the signs of the second coming of Jesus. We have heard about the trumpet that would be blown, we read or heard about the sky changing, we have heard so many things but are these all the signs? What is the thing that will happen at the second coming of Christ?
1. There would be strong lightening.

Maybe we must have heard about the darkening of the sun during this time of the second coming but it is not only that, but there will also be great lighting. Matthew 24:27 “For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
2. There would be a great earthquake.
Bible-earthquake
We have been recording earthquakes in some places but when Jesus comes, the earth will experience the greatest earthquake ever. It is not something that anyone should witness it will shake the earth. Revelation 16:18 “And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.” Anytime I read this part of the scripture, I try to imagine the intensity or how huge it would be – it is always scary even in my imagination.
3. He will come with rewards.
sky
Jesus will not just come back to the earth for people to see, He will come back with rewards. Revelation 22:12 “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”
4. Jesus will not come alone.
Jesus=comes-with-angels
When Jesus was born, he came alone as a baby and he began to grow. The second coming will be different from this. Jesus will come will the mighty Angels in heaven, he will come with his crown and everyone will see him in his glory. Matthew 25:31 “When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory.”
5. All the eyes will see Jesus.

When Jesus will come in his glory and to judge the world, everyone will see him. It would show in his physical body, not spiritual. Revelation 1:7.

Insiders blast own church for preaching the Bible

Church seen as 'laughing stock' for teaching sex belongs to marriage

At a Muslim mosque, one expects Islamic teachings. At a Buddhist temple, Buddha's philosophies.
But in the Church of England, some leaders regard certain biblical teachings as "offensive."
According to the London Telegraph, senior religious figures in the Church of England have told their bishops that the church is a "laughing stock" for affirming that sexual relations are only for marriage between a man and a woman.

The U.K. Supreme Court ruled recently that civil partnerships – previously created for same-sex couples – now are available to heterosexual couples.
In response, the church's House of Bishops "issued pastoral guidance to clergy on how to deal with sex outside of marriage," the Telegraph reported.
"It concluded that sex belongs only within heterosexual marriage, and that Christians who are in either gay or straight civil partnerships should conduct 'sexually abstinent friendships.'"
LGBT activists outside the church immediately attacked, and now there's a letter from leaders within the church.
They said the Church of England has "this week become a laughingstock to a nation that believes it is obsessed with sex.
Signers included Ven Canon Peter Leonard, archdeacon of the Isle of Wight and chair of the pressure group One Body One Faith; Christina Baron, a member of the general synod and chair of the Human Sexuality Group on General Synod; the Rev. Andrew Foreshew-Cain, chaplain to Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford, and the founder of the Campaign for Equal Marriage in the Church of England; and Jayne Ozanne,a prominent gay evangelical and member of General Synod.
"More importantly," the letter states, "this statement has significantly damaged the mission of the church and it has broken the trust of those it seeks to serve ... it seems our trust has been misplaced and we feel badly let down."
The letter says the pastoral statement "makes clear there has been no desire to listen or learn from those of us who spoke to explain how offensive we found the tone of the House of Bishops’'previous document."
"Indeed, the statement is anything but 'pastoral' – it is cold, defensive, and uncaring of its impact on the millions of people it affects."
The Church of England has been dealing with the issue of homosexuality for decades.
A church official told the Telegraph: "Three years ago, the church embarked on the Living in Love and Faith project. This involves listening to the lived experiences of a wide range of people in relation to identity, sexuality and marriage, as well as engaging with theologians and other experts to help the church learn and deliberate together in a more informed and compassionate way about what it means to live well together in love and faith."
The U.K.'s Christian Institute said the letter claimed the writers have been "badly let down" by the church's decision to adhere to the Bible.

FYI to Any Candidate with a Death Wish: Hillary Clinton Is Angling for a VP Slot

FYI to Any Candidate with a Death Wish: Hillary Clinton Is Angling for a VP Slot

For the adventurous candidate out there–
Hillary Clinton is angling for a VP slot on the Democrat Party ticket.

That would be a very bold choice.
The Hill reported:
A number of people in politics, the media and elsewhere are openly speculating that if Democrats wind up with a “brokered convention,” with no strong or viable nominee evident, Hillary Clinton might enter the arena as the “savior” who could unite the delegates and go on to defeat President Donald Trump.
Clinton herself seemed to throw shade at that theory during an interview with Variety at the Sundance Film Festival. When asked about the “urge” to beat Trump, the former Democratic nominee said, “Yeah. I certainly feel the urge because I feel the 2016 election was a really odd time and an odd outcome. And the more we learn, the more that seems to be the case. But I’m going to support the people who are running now and do everything I can to help elect the Democratic nominee.”
Several politically savvy Democrats have told me that “everything” may be a much more plausible and powerful scenario.

Utah Bill Requiring Aborted Babies to Be Buried or Cremated Advances to State Senate

Utah Bill Requiring Aborted Babies to Be Buried or Cremated Advances to State Senate

abortion, baby, coffin

A Utah bill requiring abortion providers to bury or cremate the remains of an aborted baby or miscarriage has passed the Senate Health and Human Services Committee and will now advance to the full senate.

The legislation would allow mothers to choose between the two options so that “fetal remains are treated with dignity and respect,” according to the bill’s sponsor Republican Senator Curt Bramble.
“Today, when a woman has a miscarriage or an abortion, those remains are treated as medical waste and thrown out as so much refuse,” Bramble told the Salt Lake Tribune.
The new law would not force a woman to have a funeral or be responsible for the burial — though they would be given the choice to do so. If a woman does not want the responsibility, requirements for how the remains are disposed of would fall upon the abortion provider.
Democrats and abortion advocates have argued that the bill would make abortions more difficult and traumatic for women.
“I still struggle with that document being put in front of a mom, a woman, at that point,” Democrat Sen. Luz Escamilla said. “I think that’s where I can’t support the bill as is.”
Deanna Holland, the vice president of Pro-Life Utah, argued that when she had a miscarriage it did not occur to her that the baby would be thrown out with medical waste until it was too late.
“[My doctor] removed my baby, which had been stuck in the birth canal, and disposed of my baby with the medical waste,” Holland said, according to a report from KUER. “I was actually so distressed that it was a few hours before I realized that my child had been disposed of in this manner. By that time there was nothing I could do.”
The bill passed 4-2, along party lines.
