Illinois Democrats Pass Bill Protecting Abortionists’ From Having Their Medical Licenses Revoked

Illinois Democrat lawmakers are rapidly advancing legislation this spring to protect abortionists from having their medical licenses revoked if they are disciplined in other states.

On Thursday, state Democrat leaders joined staff of the billion-dollar abortion chain Planned Parenthood for a news conference to celebrate the state House passing the bill, Capitol News Illinois reports.

State House Bill 1464 prohibits the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation from revoking, suspending or taking any other disciplinary action against licensed physicians, nurses and physician assistants for providing abortions or abortion-related services in another state that are legal in Illinois.

The bill would protect traveling abortionists who move from state to state aborting unborn babies, often abandoning patients who may suffer complications afterward. The legislation is an attempt to thwart state pro-life laws that punish abortionists for killing unborn babies. It also could endanger women’s lives by allowing abortionists disciplined in other states to continue aborting unborn babies without accountability in Illinois.

According to the report:

Bill sponsor Rep. Maura Hirschauer, D-Batavia, said that if a medical professional practicing in Illinois and other states is disciplined in the other state, it triggers potential disciplinary action in Illinois as well. But as other states have moved to make abortion more difficult or outright illegal, the law would shield an Illinois doctor who is disciplined in one of those states for performing an abortion from facing the same discipline in Illinois. …

“We have spoken here in Illinois, now is not the time to be punishing health care workers for doing their jobs and serving their patients,” Hirschaurer said.

The bill would go into effect immediately after it passes, which appears likely.

The state House passed the pro-abortion bill in a 68 to 41 vote Thursday, and it already is advancing in the state Senate. Democrats control the Illinois legislature by a strong majority, making it impossible for pro-life lawmakers to stop pro-abortion legislation from passing.

In December, the state legislature also voted to repeal the Illinois parental notification law, which required at least one parent to be notified before their underage daughter has an abortion. They ignored strong public opposition in doing so. NBC 5 Chicago reported state residents submitted nearly 50,000 notices of opposition to the legislation, and a 2021 poll found 72 percent of Illinois voters support the parental notification law, including many who identified as pro-choice.

Illinois also forces taxpayers to pay for abortions and allows unborn babies to be aborted for basically any reason up to birth. The state health department reported 46,243 abortions in 2020.

Shocking Images Show 5 Babies Killed in Late-Term Abortions at D.C. Abortion Clinic

Shocking images of five babies killed in late-term abortions have been released today that show in brutal reality what happens to unborn children who are killed in legal late-term abortions in America.

The babies killed in the abortions were reportedly killed at the Washington Surgi-Center, which advertises late-term abortions at “27 plus weeks of pregnancy” – long past the point when unborn babies are viable outside the womb. The babies bodies were reportedly obtained from a pro-life advocate in Washington who was arrested yesterday for protesting inside the abortion center.

Lauren Handy, director of activism for the Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAAU), informed the Metropolitan Washington D.C. Police homicide unit that she had obtained the babies’ bodies who were killed in abortions or possible illegal partial-birth abortions or left to die in infanticides. Their late gestational ages as well as their apparent sustained injuries potentially show violations of the Partial Birth Abortion Act as well as the Born Alive Infants Protection Act which are federal crimes.

A whistleblower at the abortion center reportedly provided the bodies to Handy to expose what is happening there.

PAAU director Terrisa Bukovinac says the babies’ deaths should be investigated as violations of federal law.

“We are aware that the Metropolitan Police Department has stated they do not believe a crime has been committed against these babies under D.C. law. However, the laws in question are federal laws enforced by the U.S. Department of Justice,” she said.

The pro-life group LiveAction today released the photos of the five babies. Here’s more:

Dr. Robin Pierucci, a neonatal specialist, told Live Action News: “I can say with confidence that these babies died at an age when they were viable, premature people.” In her Friday morning comments, she noted that she was going to work in a NICU where she would “care for little ones this size and age.”

During a Thursday press conference, D.C. police quickly dismissed the possibility that the babies experienced illegal abortions but declined to comment further when asked by Live Action News. Although D.C. doesn’t ban late-term abortions, medical professionals are still bound by federal laws which restrict the method of abortion and require life-saving care for infants born after botched procedures.

Live Action president and founder Lila Rose said in response,  “The discovery of these bodies is horrific and disturbing evidence of the infanticide that may be occurring in this clinic within our nations’ capital, and indicative of the violence happening in abortion facilities nationwide.”

Perhaps the largest and most developed baby found was a boy, whose gestational age has been estimated to be around 28-32 weeks – well within the third trimester, past the point at which the majority of experts agree that preborn babies can feel pain, and beyond the point many states have restricted abortions for medical and ethical reasons. For example, the Mississippi law that recently came before the Supreme Court limits abortion to just 15 weeks based on concerns surrounding fetal development, pain, and other factors.


Photos and video of the first baby boy reveal that he remained largely intact, raising questions about how his life ended. He also has what appears to be a fully formed face, fingers, toes, and all the primary features normally visible in a newborn.

Dr. Kathi Aultman, a former abortionist who later became pro-life, told Live Action News that he “appears to be in the 3rd trimester near term and looks like he should have been in the nursery.” Dr. Patti Giebink similarly said via email that this baby boy “looks close to term gestation … [a]nd pretty much intact,” adding that she couldn’t “believe they would abort a nearly full term baby unless there was something terminally wrong with the baby, but it doesn’t appear so.”

A Minnesota family grew by six members in one day Wednesday when Ruby Celada and her husband, Armando Ayala, adopted five siblings and their cousin from foster care.

The Sioux Falls Argus Leader reports the Leota, Minnesota family all wore matching T-shirts displaying the children’s names during their adoption hearing at the Minnehaha County Courthouse.

Celada, the children’s biological aunt, said she and her husband wanted to make sure the family stayed together. The siblings and their cousin, four boys and two girls, range in ages from 6 to 12, according to the report.

“We’re just happy that we’re able to do it, and they’re able to be in the same home,” she said. “They’re not separated or anything.”

The children were placed in foster care because of neglect by their birth parents, some of whom are now in prison, the local news reports.

“They came a long, long way. They’ve been through so much,” Celada said. “Kids want to be with their parents, but sometimes they cannot be, because of the choices the parents made.”

The children’s love for their new adoptive parents is apparent. The family shared a video with the local news from the adoption hearing, showing 7-year-old Avery hugging Armando and telling him, “I’ll take good care of you.”

The family told the newspaper that they celebrated afterward at Chuck E. Cheese.

Adoption brings hope and healing in the midst of brokenness. Whether it’s a mother who realizes she cannot provide the best care to her newborn or children in foster care, adoption is a difficult but loving opportunity that recognizes the value and potential of every human life.

New National Poll Shows Americans Want Abortions Banned After 15 Weeks

A new poll sponsored by the Wall Street Journal shows Americans favor banning abortion after 15 weeks to protect babies from abortion. The Supreme Court is considering a Mississippi law that bans abortions on unborn babies after 15 weeks an could either uphold the law or use the case to reverse Roe.

A new new Wall Street Journal poll shows 48 percent of Americans support banning aboritons up to 15 weeks while just 43% oppose it. The survey found a massive partisan divide on abortion with Republicans pro-life and Democrats backing late-term abortions.

  • 75% of Republicans supported a 15-week ban, compared to 20% who opposed it.
  • 21% of Democrats supported a 15-week ban, compared to 69% who opposed it.

The poll, conducted March 2-7, surveyed 1,500 registered voters. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.6 percentage points.

The biggest case the Supreme Court is expected to hand down soon, which it has already heard, is the Dobbs case involving a 15-week abortion ban in Mississippi that could either give states more latitude to protect babies from abortions or will overturn Roe entirely, allowing wholesale abortions bans protecting hundreds of thousands of babies annually.

During the high court’s consideration of Dobbs, Mississippi Solicitor General Scott Stewart told the justices on the nation’s highest court that it’s time to overturn Roe v. Wade so states that provide legal protections for unborn children.

“Roe versus Wade and Planned Parenthood versus Casey haunt our country,” Stewart told the Supreme Court as it opened hearings on the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

“They have no basis in the Constitution. They have no home in our history or traditions. They’ve damaged the democratic process. They’ve poisoned the law. They’ve choked off compromise. For fifty years they’ve kept this Court at the center of a political battle that it can never resolve. And fifty years on, they stand alone: nowhere else does this Court recognize a right to end a human life,” he said.

For decades, under Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey, states have been prohibited from banning abortions before viability. As a result, about 63 million unborn babies and hundreds, perhaps thousands, of mothers have died in supposedly “safe,” legal abortions. Now the Supreme Court has agreed to re-consider this precedent and decide “whether all pre-viability prohibitions on elective abortion are unconstitutional.”

Thomas is expected to vote to overturn Roe, as he has previously said the decision is afoul of the Constitution.
