While many people think the primary reason Jesus came to the earth to do the miraculous like healing the sick and performing signs and wonders, they came second to His mission of preaching the Gospel. Jesus came to preach was Mark talked about in Mark 1:14-15, the Gospel of God. The healings and miracles of Jesus were very important but what was even more imperative was testifying to the truth of these actions. Jesus’ true mission was to preach the truth about the Kingdom of God. He did this through his sermons, messages and parables. Here are six things you should know about Jesus’ sermons.

Jesus Preached Sermons at a Young Age

Jesus was a preacher as an adolescent so he delivered sermons at a very young age. The Bible describes a time when Jesus was 12 years old and was found by His parents, preaching in the temple to adults. The Bible tells us, “When His parents saw Him, they were astonished. His mother said to Him, ‘Son, why have You treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for You.’ ‘Why were you searching for me?’ He asked. ‘Didn’t you know I’d be in my Father’s house?’ But they did not understand what He was saying to them.”

This is the only story in the gospels about Jesus between His infancy and His public ministry as a man. The main teaching of this passage from Luke is that Jesus now recognizes His unique relationship to God, and that His mission will require of Him a devotion of God’s purposes so great that it takes precedence over family ties. He must follow His calling, even if it brings pain and misunderstanding. In this way, Luke sets the stage for the adult ministry of the Son of God.

He Started Preaching at 30

While Jesus was incredibly wise for His age, Jesus didn’t truly begin His earthly ministry until age 30. This is the age of spiritual maturity in Scripture and in the Judaic culture of Jesus’ day. Thirty was the age at which a man would be fully recognized as a rabbi. Thirty was also the age at which the Levites entered into work; the age in which it was lawful for scribes to teach. Thirty is the age when the Jewish community felt like individuals were ripe for leadership.

His Sermons Were Intended to Help People Understand the Gospel

Jesus often ministered through parables. They required those who were listening to think. Jesus told parables to see if we really understand the Gospel. The truth is, understanding the Gospel is the beginning to a transformed life. Each Gospel is unique. They give a beautiful and complete picture of the Lord through their various writings. Mark is recognized as the Gospel of the suffering Son of God. Matthew is recognized as the Gospel of the Messiah. Luke is the Gospel of the Savior of all the people and John is the Gospel of the Son who reveals the Father. These writings may be from different authors, but ultimately share an important picture of who Jesus was.

Romans 1:16 says, “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: the first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.” From this, we know that the Gospel is the power of God and present in every aspect of our lives. One danger that many Christians face today is failing to get the Gospel. If we don’t get the Gospel message, then that message won’t translate to our hearts and lives.

They Revolutionized the Way People Saw Things

God’s people are a wandering people. We see countless examples throughout the Bible of God’s people wandering. This theme of wandering is also present in our lives. These biblical examples are traveling off-road. In his messages, he referenced the Prodigal Son who left home to enter a world of sin, among others. Their brokenness caused them to wander away from God. However, through their stories we learn some important lessons, particularly about the complete presence of God. There is a common misconception that those who wander are lost but that isn't always the case. If you’re restless, doubtful or even questioning your faith, you can learn through this journey that not all who wander are lost and there’s a hope and peace for those who travel the winding path seeking to experience God.

They Were Guides Against the Enemy

One of the biggest battles we have to take on is one with the devil. His sermons were weapons against the enemy. The Bible tells us, “For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ” (1 Corinthians 10:3-5). There are certain satanic strongholds that imprison us each day that we must be aware of. The battles are taking place in our thoughts. His messages can help us better understand how to respond to those attacks.

Jesus Shared His Sermons With Authority

Jesus Christ is unquestionably the greatest teacher the world has ever known and the most recognized figure in human history. No figure has been more frequently mentioned than Him. Jesus was also the greatest help to mankind the world has ever known, and yet He was misunderstood. The Bible tells us, “And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes,” (Matthew 7:28-29). The scribes often quoted both long passages of the Law as well as traditions of other Jewish teachers to support their message and yet Jesus spoke from His own authority, breaking from tradition.

Jesus is the greatest minister the world have ever known. The Bible tells us, “And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes,” (Matthew 7:28-29). He came to this earth to share the truth about God so that others would be saved. This makes Him the true Savior of the world.

What is the Symbolism of the White Horse in Revelation? What the white horse of Revelation really represents. By Lesli White

Many of us have heard of the white horse in Revelation inside and outside of the Bible. Often, the reference relates to the four horses or horseman of the apocalypse. These are the four horses that John saw in his visions, recorded in Revelation 6:1-8. To understand the symbolism of the white horse in Revelation, we need to understand the meaning of Revelation 6:2.

Revelation 6:2 says, “And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.” This verse is a result of Jesus opening the first of seven seals. He is securing a scroll that contains God’s judgment on sin. The vision of the four horses was the first that John witnessed after the scene in heaven. In Revelation 5:1-14, John describes the first horseman riding a white horse and carry a bow. The passage also points out that the Lamb was the only one found worthy to open the book and break its seals.

The identity of this rider has been a great source of debate. Some believe that the rider is Christ. This could make sense because He rides a white horse and wears a crown. Yet, the surrounding context removes this possibility. Let’s look again at the rider of the white horse. We know from scripture that he conquers the earth. We know that he is a great dictator and a great deceiver.

The rider on the white horse is typically associated with the Anti-Christ. He isn’t a machine but a man. He is the devil’s demonic messiah, reference in Daniel 8:24. Another thing that points to the rider not being Jesus is the Greek text in Revelation 6. This text reveals that the crown that is worn by the rider is referred to as “stephanos.” This is the kind of crown typically worn by a military conqueror. The Greek word associated with the crown of Jesus, also referenced in Revelation 19, is “diadema.” This is a crown of royalty. The rider of the white horse referenced in Revelation 6 is a great deceiver, so it can’t be Jesus.

Another important point. When Christ makes His final return, He will do so at the end of the Tribulation period, not at the beginning. He will also introduce a thousand years of security and peace. The conditions that follow the rider are not calm but chaotic.

Revelation 4:7 references four living creatures, covered with eyes, in front and in back. The verse says, “The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle.” Then, in chapter six, we the Lamb begins to open the book's seals, which represents the gospel of Christ. The seals referenced in the passage represent that the gospel is the revelation of the mystery which has been a secret kept for ages past (Romans 16:25). Given each creature allows John to see a certain horse and its rider, we can also see correlation between what a living creature represents and what the horse and the horseman represent.

The first rider was on a white horse. This specific rider with bow and crown stands for the rule of kings and lords on earth, like the Roman Caesars. The bow represents conquering the, and the crown represents dominion. Ultimately, the white horse and its rider represent earthly rule, dominion, and authority.

Matthew 24:7 says, “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.” Jesus is ultimately telling us that nations will rise against nations. This is a tribulation that will be seen throughout history and will continue until Jesus returns.

Revelation speaks on Jesus’ return extensively. Revelation 19-11-21 describes the Second Coming of Jesus and a white horse. The passage begins, “I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice, He judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on His head are many crowns. He has a name written on Him that no one knows but He Himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following Him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of His mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. ‘He will rule them with an iron scepter.’ He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On His robe and on His thigh, He has this name written: King of Kings and Lord of Lords” (Revelation 19:11-16).

During Jesus’ ministry, He actively spoke of His return. Jesus tells us that the purpose of His ascent into heaven was so that He could receive the kingdom from His Father and also return with authority to have dominion throughout the earth. We also know from Matthew 25:31 that Jesus will not make His return alone. Matthew 25:31 says, “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne.” He will not just sit with a few angels either, but with thousands upon thousands of angels that will accompany Him.

Ultimately, the Second Coming of Jesus references the future return of Jesus to Earth, after His ascension, He will defeat the enemy. The person riding on the white horse is the Anti-Christ, and Jesus will defeat him and his armies. Our Lord and Savior will also destroy evil and establish His millennial kingdom. Many prophecies will be fulfilled when this day comes. In the Bible, we are also told that Jesus’ return will be majestic, with great glory and power. On this magnificent day, the entire world will see and know who our Lord and Savior Jesus really is.

Fani Willis Ordered To Pay $54K For ‘Intentional’ Violations In Trump Case

Disgraced Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has been ordered to pay more than $54,000 for violating Georgia’s open records laws while prosecuting a case against President Donald Trump.

Willis, who led the political witch hunt against Trump related to the 2020 Georgia election, committed numerous crimes while prosecuting the case, including perjury and violation of Georgia’s open records laws. She was ultimately disqualified from the case.

Willis famously hired her affair partner, Nathan Wade, as a special assistant district attorney to prosecute Trump, then lied about her relationship with him under oath.

Now, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Rachel Krause has ordered Willis to pay $54,264 in attorneys’ fees and litigation costs after she deliberately withheld documents related to Wade.

In the order issued on March 14, Krause noted that Willis had “intentionally” failed to hand over these documents that were requested by attorney Ashleigh Merchant, who filed the motion to disqualify Willis from the case against Trump.

Krause went on to note that Willis’ office specifically refused to hand over the documents related to Wade’s employment at the district attorney’s office.

“Defendants — through the Open Records custodian, Dexter Bond — were openly hostile to counsel for Plaintiff, Ms. Merchant, and testified that Ms. Merchant’s requests were handled differently than other requests,” the judge’s order stated.

Bond reportedly testified that he would typically call the individual who requested the documents in order to obtain more information about the requests, but admitted that this was not the case for Merchant’s request — as he indicated that he refused to speak to her on the phone.

“While there is no requirement under the ORA for Mr. Bond to call any requestor about a particular request, Mr. Bond’s handling of Ms. Merchant’s requests in this manner indicates a lack of good faith,” the order explained.

“Defendants’ failures were intentional, not done in good faith, and were substantially groundless and vexatious,” the order continued.

Willis will now have 30 days to pay the $54,264 fine in full.

Tom Homan had one message for New York Governor Kathy Hochul that left her scared stiff

Mar 18, 2025

Tom Homan doesn’t have time to play games with Democrats.

He’s taking off the gloves for a major fight.

And Tom Homan had one message for New York Governor Kathy Hochul that left her scared stiff.

Tom Homan gives New York an ultimatum about cooperating with ICE

Democrats in New York have dug in their heels to oppose any effort by the Trump administration to arrest and deport illegal aliens in the state.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D) and Democrat leadership have vowed to oppose the Trump administration’s efforts to enforce federal immigration law.

“Border Czar” Tom Homan traveled to the Capitol Building in Albany to deliver a blunt message.

“Sanctuary cities are going to get exactly what they don’t want: more agents in the community,” Homan said while surrounded by Republican lawmakers. “We’ll double the man-force if we have to. Rather than one officer arresting a bad guy, now I have to send a whole team.”

Hochul has a simple choice.

Cooperate with Homan or he’ll send more Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers into her state.

“New York State, you’ve got to change your sanctuary status and if you don’t, get out of the way. We’re going to do our job,” Homan stated.

Homan isn’t backing down from a fight

The “Border Czar” spent a half hour railing against New York’s sanctuary policies.

He dismissed criticisms from Democrats and left-wing activists who tried to disrupt him at the Capitol.

“I work for a President who wants to save lives and make this country safe again,” Homan said. “You want to hate on me? Hate on me because I eat it up.”

Homan praised New York City Mayor Eric Adams for his willingness to cooperate with him.

“We’re working on some things, I can’t share it all with you right now,” Homan said.

The pair are scheduled to have a third sit-down meeting to discuss potential areas of cooperation.

“[Adams] wanted to get federal immigration authorities back into Rikers Island to talk to illegal aliens who committed a crime against a citizen,” Homan explained. “For a Mayor who wants to be a law and order Mayor, I think it’s the right kind of Mayor that New York City deserves and should have.”

Adams’ ability to cooperate with the Trump administration on immigration has been hampered by New York’s far-left City Council.

He wants to allow ICE agents to the Rikers Island prison to detain criminal illegal aliens before they’re released back onto the streets.

Homan said that it’s been radio silence from Hochul.

“She hasn’t communicated with me. Let’s be clear: I’m doing nothing wrong, she is,” Homan declared.

Hochul has threatened to remove Adams from office over his willingness to work with the Trump administration on immigration enforcement.

New York City Democrat Mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani confronted Homan after the press conference.

“How many more New Yorkers?” Mamdani yelled. “How many more New Yorkers will you detain? How many more New Yorkers without charges? Do you believe in the First Amendment, Tom Homan?”

Tom Homan is gearing up for a fight with New York if the state doesn’t back down.
