St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Wichita, Kansas, became the target of a disturbing act of vandalism with satanic elements. Law enforcement agencies swiftly responded to the desecration, leading to the arrest of the person who now faces multiple charges. What motivated the suspect to specifically target a Catholic church with satanic vandalism?

Satanic Vandalism Shocks Wichita Community

The Wichita Police Department discovered “extensive vandalism, including hate speech, damage to statues, candles, and glass” at St. Patrick Church, with a United States flag also burned during the attack. The Kansas Catholic Conference reported that a Satanic website was scrawled on a wall, though police have not disclosed specific details about the hate speech found at the scene.

Wichita Police Chief Joe Sullivan expressed strong condemnation of the attack, stating, “It’s disgusting. This reprehensible act of vandalism will not be tolerated.” The severity of the incident has prompted involvement from multiple agencies, including the Wichita Fire Department, FBI, and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

Suspect Arrested with Extensive Criminal History

Michael Angel Gonzalez, the 23-year-old suspect, was apprehended on Sunday following the Saturday morning discovery of the vandalism. Gonzalez is being held on a bond exceeding $500,000 and faces numerous charges related to the church attack.

Court records reveal that Gonzalez was already on parole for previous convictions including criminal threat, criminal damage to property, and burglary. The additional charges of contempt of court and parole violation compound his legal troubles following this latest incident at St. Patrick’s Church.

Community Response and Security Concerns

The timing of the attack, occurring just before St. Patrick’s Day, has added to the distress felt by the church community named after the celebrated saint. Religious leaders and community members have expressed shock at the deliberate nature of the sacrilegious vandalism.

Chief Sullivan emphasized that places of worship deserve respect regardless of one’s religious beliefs, highlighting the broader implications for religious freedom and community security. The multi-agency response demonstrates the seriousness with which authorities are treating this attack on religious property and symbols.

The Trump administration has directed the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to end language translation services for people calling for information about their immigration or employment status or their benefits.

In keeping with his March 1 order making English the official language of the United States, the president has directed the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to cancel a contract with a translation service provider, according to Government Executive magazine.

The translation service was offered to migrants calling the department for information about their status under E-Verify and other government programs.

The administration is also now directing agency call center employees to terminate any call from a caller who can’t make his needs known in English.

The formal guidelines are forthcoming, the administration notes.

The termination of the Legal Interpreting Services, Inc., is part of the administration’s government wide comprehensive review of the rationale for each contract it pays out. The translation service for USCIS would have cost upwards to $587,000 on a contract that was first awarded in 2022, the magazine added.

DHS also has a wider contract with Legal Interpreting Services costing the government about $3.6 million. It is not yet known if these translation services will also be targeted for cancellation in other departments.

USCIS has made no public statement on the cancellation of its translation services.

Advocates for illegal aliens say that the cancellation of the translation service will complicate the lives of migrants.

“Lack of interpretation services will only make it harder for many workers and families whose dominant language is not English from being able to correct immigration status errors in these databases,” said American Immigration Council representative Adriel Orozco. “This risks people being wrongly denied benefits or being unfairly terminated from their jobs.”

The president signed an executive order this month making English the official language of the United States, a move many advocates have been wanting for decades.

“A nationally designated language is at the core of a unified and cohesive society, and the United States is strengthened by a citizenry that can freely exchange ideas in one shared language,” Trump’s March 1 order reads.

Trump’s order specifically noted that “new Americans” must be “encouraged” to learn English “to achieve the American dream.”

“Speaking English not only opens doors economically, but it helps newcomers engage in their communities, participate in national traditions, and give back to our society,” the order noted.

NASA astronaut Butch Wilmore, one of two that was stranded in space for nine months before being rescued by Donald Trump and Elon Musk, praised Jesus Christ when asked what he learned while stuck in orbit for an extended period of time. “It’s bound in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” he said not long before departing the International Space Station to return to Earth.

After being asked what his “life lesson or takeaway from these nine months in space” was, astronaut Barry Eugene “Butch” Wilmore replied, “Well, I can tell you honestly, my feeling on all of this goes back to my faith. It’s bound in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

Watch Below:

“He is working out his plan and his purposes for his glory throughout all of humanity, and how that plays into our lives is significant and important, and however that plays out, I am content because I understand that,” Wilmore continued.

“I understand that He’s at work in all things, some things are for the good — go to Hebrews chapter 11 — and some things look to us to be not so good. But it’s all working out for His good, for all those that will believe,” the astronaut added. “And that’s the answer.”

As Breitbart News reported, Wilmore and fellow astronaut Sunita “Suni” Williams, who launched into space on the first piloted test flight of Boeing’s Starliner on June 5, 2024, ended up stranded on the International Space Station (ISS) orbital laboratory for 286 days, when they were only supposed to be on a ten-day trip.

After the Starliner had faced problems, Elon Musk’s SpaceX reportedly worked on a plan with NASA to fly Wilmore and Williams back to Earth.

As of Tuesday, the two astronauts have finally begun their long-awaited journey back to Earth on a SpaceX capsule, thanks to the combined drive and ambition of President Donald Trump and Musk to “go get them.”

A 26-year-old Trump hater with “She/They” pronouns has been charged with felony criminal damage to property and misdemeanor criminal trespass after allegedly vandalizing a newly built Tesla sales, service, and delivery center with graffiti targeting Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and supporting “trans rights.”

The Daily Herald reports that Erin L. White, a resident of the Chicago suburb of Buffalo Grove, was arrested on charges of vandalizing the newly-built Tesla dealership located in the same town. The incident occurred on Friday, and White is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

According to reports, the graffiti on the building’s showroom glass contained several profanity-laden messages targeting President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who currently serves as a senior adviser to the president and heads the Department of Government Efficiency. One of the messages also expressed support for transgender rights. According to conservative influencer Libs of TikTok, White uses “She/They” pronouns.

The vandalism prompted workers to spend the weekend scrubbing the graffiti from the windows of the 50,000-square-foot Tesla sales and service center, which is on the verge of opening. The charges against White include felony criminal damage to property, which carries a more severe penalty than the misdemeanor criminal trespass charge.

This is the latest in a recent string of attacks on Tesla vehicles and dealerships. Just last week, gunshots shattered the windows of a Tesla dealership in Oregon, following a vehicle being set on fire at the same location on January 20, prompting an ongoing FBI investigation.

The attacks come amidst backlash against Tesla co-founder Elon Musk for his role as a senior adviser to President Donald Trump and his leadership of the Department of Government Efficiency, which has significantly reduced federal jobs and funding. Earlier this week, anti-Musk protesters in Washington, DC, demanded that he “go back to Africa.”

In response to the violence against Tesla stores, President Trump stated last week that such acts would be classified as domestic terrorism and that perpetrators would “go through hell.”
