Saint Faustina Kowalska, The "Great Warning" previous to the Christ's Return, The Parousia and the End Times
Second Coming In Christianity, the Second Coming of Christ, the second advent, sometimes called the parousia, is the anticipated return of Jesus to Earth. The Second Coming belief is based on prophecies found in the canonical gospels and in most Christian eschatologies. Christians generally believe the anticipated event is predicted in biblical messianic prophecies. Views about the nature of Jesus' Second Coming vary among Christian denominations and sometimes among individual Christians.
Most English versions of the Nicene Creed in current use include the following beliefs about Jesus: "...he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. ... We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come."
This movie explains how part of the third secret of Fatima is still being withheld from the faithful. It also shows forth the conclusions we can make from the secret through those within the church and it doesn't take a genius to see what has happen within the last 50 years of the church; the apostasy, the liturgy, catholic life in the world and the crisis of faith. This is what our Lady has come to warn us about and only within her heart can we be safe. Ave maria!
"1964 Quake: The Great Alaska Earthquake" is an eleven minute video highlighting the impacts and effects of America's largest recorded earthquake. It is an expanded version of the four minute video "Magnitude 9.2". Both were created as part of USGS activities acknowledging the fifty year anniversary of the quake on March 27, 2014. The video features USGS geologist George Plafker, who, in the 1960's, correctly interpreted the quake as a subduction zone event. This was a great leap forward in resolving key mechanisms of the developing theory of plate tectonics. Landslide impacts and the extreme tsunami threat posed by these quakes are also discussed. Loss of life and destruction from the earthquake and accompanying tsunamis was the impetus for things like the NOAA Tsunami Warning Centers and the USGS Earthquake Hazards Program.
Free speech may be the one right among those enumerated in the Bill of Rights equally cited by libertarians, conservatives, and progressives. However, as happens in Seattle, which can be a politically contentious, some seem to feel freedom of speech somehow equals freedom from consequences for that speech, and scream constitutional violation should anyone criticizes or condemn them for their free speech.
Of course governmental penalty, coercion, or violence of any sort should never be a consequence of free speech, but the legitimate consequences of free speech may very well be anything from mild rebuke, moderate indignation, to vehement disgust, and even being ostracized from certain company.
For example, if you publish an essay lauding what Hitler did to the Jewish people, it’s not likely you’d be very welcome at the neighborhood synagogue. But would it be right for the writer to see this reproach as a violation of his free speech rights?
There are actually those who view anyone speaking in opposition to their own sacred viewpoint, as violating their free speech rights, simply because they’re being criticized for it. It’s as if it’s a First Amendment violation, in and of itself, for someone to cause them to feel bad for expressing an opinion.
In one instance Seattle police responded to quell a minor disturbance on Broadway. The two young people who'd set up a political booth on the sidewalk to express their "free speech" were upset with a woman who'd stopped to criticize their display and pamphlets. The primary component of the altercation occurred when they refused to allow the woman to take one of their pamphlets, and attempted to snatch if from her hand because they felt she'd "violated their free speech rights" by condemning their opinion.
The obverse of the liberty coin may contain our rights, but on the reverse is engraved our responsibilities. What we have to understand is when we choose to behave within the cover of a certain Constitutional right we have to be aware of the responsibilities attending it.
Another example: We have the all-important Second Amendment right to bear arms. However, if a person chooses to bear their gun in an aggressive, negligent, or reckless, manner, they might forfeit that right, at least temporarily—and they should if they’ve disregarded the responsibility that goes with their right.
And so it is with freedom of speech. If we choose not to temper our speech, which is fine, then we must accept that others will react, sometimes even venomously, to what we say, and we should be prepared for this consequence. Decide if you feel the price is worth voicing the words before you speak.
I have been discussing our need for renewal — continual renewal! I told you before that there must be a constant newness in our relationship to our Father. For those of us who are married — or intend to marry, go ahead and compare it to your relationship with our spouse. We should be seeking a constant, never-deviating renewal with our spouse. We should never allow our covenant relationship with them to become stale and boring.
Romans 6:4 says that just as our God raised Christ to Eternal renewal, so he wants you and me to live in constant renewal. I don’t remember who wrote this, but several years I found a quote, and I love the imagery. See what you think:
Life is shaped like a funnel. But everything depends on which way you go into it.
The worldling goes into at the big end, where everything looks grandiose and inviting and limitless in possibilities and freedom. Then life for him narrows down into boring smallness.
The Christian goes in at the other end: “narrow is the gate” that leads to his life. But then he finds that it broadens out into beautiful freedom, into glorious newness. It keeps opening and opening and opening into God’s vast will and righteousness and pleasures. There is no boredom! There is no smallness when you walk with God.
Within that life in him there is continual newness and expansion. You can begin again and again and again!
How is that for a perfect description of our walk with our Father? “. . . be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all you do and think . . .” (Romans 12:2); “So whatever it takes, I will be one who lives in the fresh newness of life of those who are alive from the dead . . .” (Philippians 3:11).
I freely admit that Renewal is both a crisis and a process. Once the crisis comes, if you are growing in your faith and relationship with the Author of Life, you will discover the renewal — continual revival!
The politician love to ask us if we are better after the last guy’s oversight, so let me ask how you are doing spiritually, compared with say, six months ago? Are you experiencing a renewal in your faith? How about in your relationship with your Lord? You see, once you have your personal life wrapped up in what your Heavenly Father is doing, you will discover His strategies for the whole universe!
According to Revelations 21:5, His is making “all things new.” In fact, He wanted to emphasise this when He continued, “Write this: ‘These words are faithful and true!’” He said through the Psalmist that the earth and the heavens will “perish . . . they will grow old like worn-out clothing, and [Yahweh] will change them like a man putting on a new shirt and throwing away the old one!”
Through the prophet Isaiah, Yahweh also declared, “I will create a new heaven and a new earth. Past things will no longer be remembered. They will not come to mind. Be glad, and rejoice forever in what I’m going to create . . .” (Isaiah 65:17-18).
Everything our Glorious Father has planned ends in renewal! In something NEW!
Friends, you should be experiencing this renewal! This re-creation, this refreshing and rejuvenating life should be lived out in your faith, as well! Don’t be satisfied with the ‘ho-hum’ condition you have known. In your affections, in your mind, in your heart, this world’s things should grow old to you, and become unworthy, uninteresting, outdated used up. I am serious. I am pleading with you. As the desire of the world’s ‘goods’ fall away, our Father should become more and more real to you, more and more valuable, more and more splendid — by miracle, constantly new!
Do you remember what the angel announced when Jesus was born? “I bring you good new of great joy!” Have you been experiencing this ‘good news,’ and this ‘great joy’? If not, why? Because our Father’s eternal principle is for us to experience His wonder with great joy! Stay close to Him so your whole life will be continually fresh and renewed! Continually breaking into ‘newness.’ Proverbs 4:18 promises that “the path of righteous people is like the light of dawn that becomes brighter and brighter until it reaches midday!”
If you are stuck in a rut, living the same ole, same ole’, then you need to recognize that you have fallen away from the love and affection of your Lord. You need to repent and return to Him. And He is ALWAYS ready to bring us back to ‘newness.’ I know that, from personal experience!
