Hello carl,

The momentous events which took place in Jerusalem during the last week of Jesus’ life are well-known to most readers of the Bible. Yet the details of this famous story are fuzzy for many of us. Why did Jesus enter Jerusalem riding a donkey? Where is the Garden of Gethsemane and why did Jesus stop to pray there? Why was the site of the crucifixion called Golgotha? These and many other important questions emerge when one takes a close look at the ancient text of the Bible.

My name is Jonathan Lipnick and I am a scholar-in-residence at eTeacherBiblical. At eTeacher we strongly believe that the key to truly understanding the Bible is being able to read the Scriptures in the original languages of the biblical world: Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek.

I want to invite you to join me for a special series of video newsletters which will look at the places where the stories of the Bible took place and examine the scriptural passages in the original languages of the Bible. We will begin by exploring the final week of Jesus’ life in Jerusalem, from his entrance into the city on Palm Sunday to his resurrection on Easter Sunday.
I think you will be amazed how these short videos will open up new avenues of understanding giving you new insights into this most significant week in the history of the world.

My hope is that you will be inspired to
continue the learning process by enrolling in one of eTeacher’s online courses. Let’s begin our journey:
Palm Sunday

The crowds welcoming Jesus into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday had an ingenious way of recognizing him as the Messiah. to learn more...
