‌  ‌  ‌ Building an Abortion-Free America The Real Threat of New York’s Reprehensible Abortion Law May Not Be What You Think Albany, NY – Last week, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed the Reproductive Health Act into law, which liberalizes abortion in that state, much to the dismay of pro-life supporters nationwide. The new law does several things: Decriminalizes all abortions, which will insure abortion remains legal should Roe v. Wade be overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court. Allows abortion for no stated reason through 24 weeks of pregnancy and throughout all nine months when the baby in the womb has been determined to be non-viable or for the life or health of the mother (at the discretion of the abortionist). Allows non-physicians to conduct abortions, potentially though all nine months of pregnancy. Removes any protections for infants born alive during abortions, and ends the ability to prosecute anyone for murder for killing a wanted pre-born baby in the commission of a crime.
