The new anti-boycott-Jews (BDS) will not keep pro-Israel students safe on campus
Yesterday anti-BDS (Boycott the Jews) legislation passed in the Senate. However, the bill did not go far enough. The bill only focuses on protecting states that chose to boycott organizations that support the BDS movement. Unfortunately, the bill did not address the abusive and vicious tactics of the various BDS groups on college campuses. An example is the thuggish Students for Justice in Palestine, which routinely calls for violence (Intifada) against Israel and its supporters. As a result, many college campuses are dangerous for pro-Israel students.

The First Amendment rights and safety of pro-Israel (mostly Jewish) students are being severely violated. A separate piece of legislation is urgently required to prevent BDS groups from continuing to violently bully, intimidate, and marginalize pro-Israel students.
Sadly, the Democrat Party is being influenced by the depraved and radical Senator Bernie Sanders, who is also a self-loathing Jew and virulent hater of Israel. Sanders is opposed to any legislation against the seditious BDS movement. The pro-Jihad Sanders considers the violent and anti-Semitic BDS movement to be “peaceful.”
Sanders also believes that any attempts to prevent such violence and intimidation against pro-Israel Americans is a violation of America’s freedom of speech laws. Therefore, Sanders will do everything within his power to prevent further anti-BDS legislation.
If a pro-Israel student is ever killed or severely injured on a college campus by a BDS thug, then Senator Sanders should bear significant responsibility, since he has been the leading opponent against any anti-BDS legislation. Democrats such as Senators Sanders, Feinstein, Warren, Durbin, Gillibrand, and others have significantly emboldened the pro-BDS thugs.
Pro-Israel Senators such as Marco Rubio must enact legislation to protect pro-Israel American students promptly.
While I do not support the BDS movement, we must defend every American’s constitutional right to peacefully engage in political activity. It is clear to me that S.1 would violate Americans’ First Amendment rights.
