The knives are out for former Vice President Joe Biden who has been polling as the leader of the mammoth Democrat field battling for the 2020 nomination and thanks to the revelation of an inappropriate touching accusation, his opponents see an early chance to take him out.
The career politician was doing his best to appease the social justice zealots by denouncing the “white man’s culture” and kicking the tires of extremist demagogue Stacey Abrams as a running mate but the recounting of a creepy incident from 2014 by the recipient of Biden’s creepy conduct hit him like a two-by-four to his thick skull.
According to the account of a woman named Lucy Flores, Biden smelled her hair and kissed her when she was running for lieutenant governor of Nevada and old Foghorn Leghorn was Barack Obama’s second banana.
Flores’ account was published by the #MeToo dirt-diggers at New York Magazine where she described the incident as follows:
Just before the speeches, we were ushered to the side of the stage where we were lined up by order of introduction. As I was taking deep breaths and preparing myself to make my case to the crowd, I felt two hands on my shoulders. I froze. “Why is the vice-president of the United States touching me?”I felt him get closer to me from behind. He leaned further in and inhaled my hair. I was mortified. I thought to myself, “I didn’t wash my hair today and the vice-president of the United States is smelling it. And also, what in the actual fuck? Why is the vice-president of the United States smelling my hair?” He proceeded to plant a big slow kiss on the back of my head. My brain couldn’t process what was happening. I was embarrassed. I was shocked. I was confused. There is a Spanish saying, “tragame tierra,” it means, “earth, swallow me whole.” I couldn’t move and I couldn’t say anything. I wanted nothing more than to get Biden away from me. My name was called and I was never happier to get on stage in front of an audience.
And just like that, Biden’s White House aspirations are in very serious trouble.
Not only are the knives now being embedded in the purported frontrunner’s back but he has also felt the blade of a tomahawk brandished by the caustic opportunist Elizabeth Warren who pounced on the chance to bolster her own longshot bid by going after Biden.
Presidential candidates Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro said Saturday that they believe the account of a former candidate for Nevada lieutenant governor who published an op-ed Friday accusing former Vice President Joe Biden of “inappropriate” contact. The two candidates for the 2020 Democratic Party nomination for president told reporters at the Heartland Forum that they believed former Nevada state assemblywoman Lucy Flores, who said this week that Biden leaned in and smelled her hair before kissing the back of her head at a campaign event in 2014.“I read the op-ed last night,” Warren told reporters. “I believe Lucy Flores, and Joe Biden needs to give an answer.”
The story couldn’t have been more perfectly timed for the shrill Democrat whose misrepresentation of her Native American heritage to curry academic and professional favor have inflicted grievous damage on her and she is already having problems with fundraising to for her 2020 run.
This could get her right back in the game if she plays it like Kirsten Gillibrand did when she threw the pitiful doomed Al Franken under the bus to bolster her own presidential hopes.
