Earlier today, Major General Qassim Suleimani, who led the powerful Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and has been called the second most powerful man in Iran, was killed in a U.S. drone strike near Baghdad International Airport. President Donald Trump ordered the attack. Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has issued a statement calling for three days of public mourning and then retaliation.
