Put.5- Could Adam Make A Moral Choice?

In my last article I showed that when Paul said sin is not imputed when there is no law, he meant exactly what he said. And how the religion of the cults is in such disagreement with Paul that they have believed exactly the opposite. Falsely teaching that Adam’s sin was not only imputed to him. But, that his sin was imputed to all of mankind bringing the penalty of death. And in believing this they make Augustine their apostle by receiving his false sin nature/original sin doctrine in rejection of Paul’s gospel.
In this article, I will show that this is not the only false teaching that has managed to deceive so many. Because the scripture says other things were missing from Adam and Eve in those days that the false church misses that causes many to have a perverted interpretation of the scriptures concerning the need for the atonement. Which is what Paul was addressing when he wrote,
“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel…” Gal.1:6-9
The secret of the Garden of Eden, the new covenant ...
An example of such a perversion is found when we look again in Genesis where God tells us that it was only after they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that they became as one of us to know of good and evil(Gen.3:22). Yet many teach that God had provided Adam and Eve with all that they needed for God to hold them accountable and punish them and the rest of mankind for their sin. Even though this passage shows that in the garden this knowledge was missing for Adam and Eve.
A knowledge that Deut.1:39 explains that when this is missing for others it means that God does not hold them accountable for their sin and does not punish them. Making this knowledge an integral part of making a moral choice. A part that was missing for Adam and Eve. Because a moral choice is one that is made consciously by the chooser either for good or for evil. So anyone like Adam and Eve, and the children in Deut.1:39, and the children in Mt.19:14 who were without this knowledge, were not equipped to make a moral choice.
This is also why we never see the Bible describing what happened to man as a fall as a result of what happened in the garden. There is no passage of scripture that we can go to that says “The fall of Adam…”. It just does not exist. This phrase was coined for the Roman Catholic religion by the man they consider to be their doctor of theology, Augustine of Hippo. The man most consider being their doctor of theology. In rejection of Paul’s plain teaching in Rom.5:12-14
Because for there to be a “fall” man must be equipped with the knowledge to formulate a choice for which consequences can be imputed. But, we see in Gen.3:22 that this knowledge did not come for Adam until after he ate the fruit. Not before.
“And the Lord God said, Behold, the man IS BECOME as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”.
This means that for Adam and Eve a moral choice, the choice men make consciously for good or for evil, did not play any part in the choices they made while in the garden. This is true because one’s free will can only make choices from what is available to them. And God said the knowledge of good and evil did not become available to them until after they ate the fruit.
So we now see two reasons for man’s sins not being imputed to them. 1. There was no law. And 2. They had no knowledge of good and evil. And we see how this added reason, confirmed by the belief that children must reach an age of accountability to be held accountable before God for their own choices, means the sin of Adam and Eve could not be imputed to them.
So when we put together these things God says are needed for man’s sin to be imputed to him; the image of God in man that is His likeness, dominion, and free will(Gen.1:26-30), and the knowledge of good and evil that Adam received from eating the fruit(Gen.3:22), and the law given through Moses to Israel, we see why Paul said that before Moses sin is not imputed.Rom.5:13. Because without these 3 men can not make a moral choice that has consequences.
So in the Genesis account we see that God is showing us that man can choose with free will. But, he can not make a moral choice because he had no knowledge of good and evil. And even after he attained the knowledge of good and evil from eating the fruit he still could not make choices of consequence. Because for that to happen man must have the law.
This is why in Rom.4:15 Paul states plainly that “where there is no law there is no transgression”. And that because there was no law Adam’s sin was not imputed to them. And if Adam’s sin was not imputed to him, then neither was it imputed to anyone. Which makes the doctrines that Augustine taught the antithesis of those Paul taught.
So an objective reading of the scriptures plainly shows that the argument that Adam is man’s “federal head” was only invented by man because of a need to plug the holes in the false pagan sin nature/original sin doctrine of Augustine. And has no basis in fact in any objective reading of the scriptures.
Knowing this we can now also see the answer to the question as to why death passed to all men even though their sin was not imputed(Rom.5:13,14). In Genesis we see God saying that life was possible for Adam because he could eat from the tree of life in the garden(Gen.2:29). We know this because it is only after being deprived of eating from the tree of life that we see God saying Adam would begin to die. So eating from the tree of life is what gave Adam the natural life that he was deprived of after being sent from the garden. Gen.3:22-24
So this is why death began to reign over Adam and his progeny as Paul says in Rom.5:14. Showing that it was not in itself or the act of sinning that caused Adam to begin to die. But, rather his and the rest of mankind’s death is the direct result of no longer being allowed to eat from the tree of life. This death passed to all mankind as Paul says in Rom.5:12 Solely because of this ban from eating from the tree of life. Which was the direct result of them becoming “as one of us to know good and evil”.
THE CONCEPT OF SIN – EPIGNOSIS
So we must begin to see the fallacy of the events in the garden being understood as a “fall”. Because as we will see in my next article it is actually a step in a direction that would lead to a man becoming a being(2Cor.5:17) who could have spiritual fellowship with a spiritual God? Made possible only by Jesus’ coming as a man to die a man’s death. So that by His resurrection He could make eternal life possible for all those who will trust in Him and His resurrection. Something that Paul says in 1Cor.15:45-50 and 1Cor.2:14 was never possible for Adam while he remained in the garden.
To be continued…..
If you are reading this God is calling you. He loves you and wants you to know Him. Because knowing Him is eternal life.John17:3. So if you do not know Him please take the time right now to pray and confess Jesus as Lord of your life. And believe that He has raised from the dead. In doing this, and really meaning it, you will be saved from death to life. From sin to righteousness. And from the wrath to peace with God. Because when you trust in Jesus you leave the old life behind where you trusted in idols that end with death reigning for all eternity, and now trust in Jesus who Himself is eternally the only WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE

The light went out in the church, and that’s the reason the world got dark. Dark times were perpetrated by the “last one out, turn out the lights” “The church lights have gone OUT”.

There are numerous pathetic souls who, though they have not severed formal fellowship ties with a local church, nonetheless are so spiritually apathetic as to be practical enemies of the Lord.

The watchman does not confuse truth with consensus. The watchman does not confuse God’s word with the word of those who happen to hold power at present, or with the opinion of the majority. This is because powerholders and the majority can fall victim to a lying spirit-and this means a power that actually seizes the majority of experts, the political leadership, and the public.
