60 Shot and 3 KILLED in Mayor Lightfoot’s Chicago Over Weekend
(FamilyRetirementClub.com)- Another weekend, another crime wave for the long-suffering residents of Chicago.
Mayor Lori Lightfoot, the Democratic mayor who recently slammed President Trump for sending in federal agents to help stop crime in the city, has overseen one of the most dramatic surges in violent crime in any American city. Over the last weekend alone, 60 people were shot in the city, and three were killed.
NBC 5 reported on Sunday night that 49 were shot, two of which were fatal. By Monday morning, it was reported that 60 were shot with three being fatal.
The weekend crime wave started on Friday when a person was shot, non-fatally, just after 5 p.m. Two people were shot while standing in a gas station. Then, less than half an hour later, a 19-year-old was shot and left in critical condition while sitting on a porch.
Lightfoot has still proposed no alternative to increasing police operations in her city. As crime keeps spiking and people are being shot dead in her city, Lightfoot continues her irrational campaign against the president and his constant offers to help. During an interview on CNN, she told Jake Tapper that she won’t just let “anyone” to “come into Chicago” and “play police in our streets.”

They aren’t playing police…they’re being police!
Lightfoot conceded on Tuesday that the president would be sending in federal agents, but she has maintained vocal opposition to it.
“I don’t put anything past this administration, which is why we will continue to be diligent and why we will continue to be ready,” she said, without explaining what exactly she thinks the administration is doing wrong.
“If we need to stop them and use the courts to do so, we are ready to do that,” Lightfoot added.
