Transgender policy could be unleashed against Christians

People of faith are worried about what the Biden administration has in store. Professor Edward Morse, board member at the Thomas More Society, told the Epoch Times Wednesday, "Tumultuous days lie ahead" for religious institutions, as Biden is set to remove religious freedom protections laid out by Trump.

Hours after taking the oath on Jan. 20, Biden signed an executive order promoting transgenderism in the workplace as well as in school bathrooms and on sports teams. Morse warns these policies could soon be weaponized against faith-based hospitals and schools — possibly forcing them to conduct transgender surgeries or allow transgender athletes.

These warnings echo what Michael Hichborn of the Lepanto Institute told Church Militant last week: "This executive order is the first step in an all-out war against faithful Christians."

Biden is a phony Catholic. Though presenting himself as a Catholic in good standing, he supports abortion, transgenderism and homosexuality. He officiated a same-sex wedding in 2016 and did another one about a year later.

On abortion, Dr. Anthony Fauci recently touted the Biden administration's commitment to so-called reproductive rights — meaning abortion and contraception: "It will be our policy to support women's and girls' sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights," Fauci said.

Near the start of lockdowns last year, Biden said abortion mills should stay open and called child-killing an essential service: "And finally, we need to ensure that women have access to all health services during this crisis. Abortion is an essential health care service."

Under the Trump administration, the Obamacare contraceptive mandate was modified to accommodate any employer with religious or moral objections to paying for contraceptives as health care. But that could soon change under Biden.

In July, then-candidate Biden vowed to force the Little Sisters of the Poor to pay for contraception, saying he would "restore the Obama-Biden policy" if elected.

As the Biden administration kicks off, many anticipate he will fulfill his promises to dismantle Trump's religious freedom policies.
