Congressman George Santos (R-NY) is infamous for his never-ending barrage of lies, half-truths and embellishments that range from fake college degrees to even his own ethnicity.

And no matter how hard he tries to deny it, the American public now assumes that almost every word out of his mouth is completely untrue.

Now, Congressman George Santos just made a stunning admission during an interview on live television that exposes the real truth about his character.

Not since Elizabeth Warren’s “I’m an Indian” lie have we seen anything like this.

While most Americans believe all politicians lie, and seem to accept it, sometimes the politicians just go too far.

Santos says he’s been a “terrible liar”

Congressman George Santos of New York is one of those.

And he just went on television for an interview with famous talk show host Piers Morgan to discuss the many lies that have put the new Republican congressman in the hot spotlight.

As Piers Morgan listed several of the lies told by Santos while on the campaign trail, Morgan made it clear that he doesn’t “characterize these as mistakes.”

Morgan went on to say that he thinks the lies are “part of your process of, cathartic process of redemption, if you’d like. It’s gotta start from, ‘I’ve been a terrible liar.’ I mean, would you be prepared to say that?”

And at that moment, Santos made a shocking admission by replying, “I’ve been a terrible liar on those subjects.”

But of course, immediately afterward, Santos wanted to clear the air by saying, “What I tried to convey to the American people is I made mistakes of allowing the pressure of what I thought needed to be done in order to – this, this wasn’t about tricking anybody.”Perhaps one of Santos’ most egregious lies is when he said that his mother died of cancer because she was at the World Trade Center during the attacks on September 11.

As it turns out, Santos’ mother was not only not there, but she was actually out of the country during that time.

Morgan asked Santos about the lie during the interview, to which Santos replied that he “won’t debate about my mother’s life.”

Santos said that she died in 2016 and that he felt “it’s quite insensitive for anybody to want to rehash my mother’s legacy.”

Ironically, Santos was the one who made the outrageous and insulting claims of his mother being in New York on 9/11, to begin with.

Morgan did not let up, and he decided to ask Santos about his mother’s visa status, asking if she lied on her visa application.

Santos is facing more backlash

As time goes on, George Santos is facing increasing calls from both sides of the aisle to resign.

Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) even angrily confronted him during the recent State of the Union address.

And currently, over three-quarters of Santos’ constituents want him to resign, including 71 percent of Republicans in his district.

Regardless of this fact, he told Piers Morgan that he currently has no plans to throw in the towel.

He did, however, step down from his House committee assignments in January and House speaker Kevin McCarthy has confirmed that he will now be investigated by the House Ethics Committee.

Meanwhile, this latest stunning admission shows that George Santos not only knows he’s a liar but that he’s a terrible one at that, too.
