Harris ‘Grotesque’ Campaign Event
Vice President Kamala Harris is facing mockery and backlash over an insanely “cringy” appearance on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” to campaign for the presidency.
In the viral video, Harris is seen sitting beside a group of LGBT activists, including Drag Race veterans Michelle Visage and Jamal Sims, as well as NSYNC singer Lance Bass, “Ghostbusters” actress Leslie Jones and “American Horror Story actor Cheyenne Jackson.
The “get-out-the-vote” themed episode was set up to push Harris as the Democrat nominee to viewers of the raunchy show, and Harris focused on issues important to that community — including the supposed “right” to transgender surgeries. She also claimed that “rights and freedoms” were under attack in the United States.
However, the episode was curiously recorded before Harris was endorsed as President Joe Biden’s replacement for the November presidential election.
“This might have broken the cringe o meter … Donald Trump is gonna beat Woke Kamala Harris in a landslide!” one user wrote.
“Grotesque, degenerate, sickening and indicative of the moral decay of society. Collapse of the Empire would be too kind,” another replied.
“Whoever is advising her, has the same IQ level. Wasting time with 1-2% of the demographics is a priority in her early campaign?” another user pointed out.
Meanwhile, this is far from the first time that Harris faced controversy for her support of LGBT activism — as she previously invited transgender activist Darius Pierce to the White House, who ended up being accused of sexually assaulting five people in incidents going as far back as 2019.
