Congressional Report: CCP Spying Intensified Under Biden-Harris Administration

A newly released congressional report has revealed that Chinese Communist Party (CCP) espionage activities have surged across the United States during the Biden-Harris administration. According to the House Homeland Security Committee’s Subcommittee on Counterterrorism, Law Enforcement, and Intelligence, instances of Chinese spying and repression have significantly increased since Joe Biden and Kamala Harris took office in January 2021.

The report, presented by Committee Chairman Mark Green (R-TN), highlights over 55 incidents of Chinese espionage in 20 states between 2021 and 2024. These activities range from military data breaches to the theft of trade secrets and schemes aimed at suppressing Chinese dissidents living in the U.S. “Beijing has continually encroached upon American sovereignty to spy, intimidate, and harass… defectors and American citizens,” Green stated.

One alarming incident involved an attempted breach at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in California, and another high-profile case involved Ji Chaoqun, who was convicted in 2023 for acting as an illegal agent for China. Chaoqun’s role included attempts to recruit American scientists and engineers to access advanced technologies.

The report also raises concerns about a dramatic increase in Chinese nationals apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border. In Fiscal Year 2024, over 36,000 Chinese nationals were detained, surpassing the total from the previous 13 years combined.

With this rise in CCP spying, questions are being raised about the Biden-Harris administration’s handling of U.S. national security. Moreover, Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz are facing scrutiny over their alleged ties to China as Congress continues its investigation.
