Fetterman FLIPS, Rips Into Nancy Pelosi
In an interview with the New York Times, Pelosi blamed Biden for the Democrats’ loss, ignoring the fact that Vice President Kamala Harris ran a terrible campaign almost entirely based on smearing her opponent and his supporters while refusing to talk about legitimate policies.
Fetterman highlighted this in his response to Pelosi’s comments, telling Politico that the 84-year-old congresswoman should look in the mirror and leave Congress so the younger generation can take the lead.
“People like Pelosi, she really tried to — what’s the word I’m looking for? She embraced this ‘She’s the godmother, she’s the enforcer.’ And now she’s blaming Biden. Well, you can’t have it both ways. You got what you wanted, and now you’re still blaming Biden,” Fetterman said. “I think it’s really ironic that you have a woman at age 84 and she is still hanging on. Why not give a younger generation an opportunity to occupy that seat?”
The Democrat senator went on to condemn Harris for referring to Trump supporters as “fascists” on the campaign trail, arguing that it was clearly a losing strategy that he vehemently disagreed wit.
“I love people that are absolutely going to vote for Trump. They’re not fascists. They’re not those things. I think if you go to the tickle switch, use those kinds of terms, then it’s kind of hard to walk back on those things,” Fetterman said.
“That’s kind of a word that really isn’t part of the vernacular for voters,” he added. “Scolding harder or clutching the pearls harder, that’s never going to work for Democrats.”
Despite being a whopping 84 years old and facing resistance within her own party, Pelosi has reportedly filed for reelection in 2026, which Fetterman also criticized in the interview, and many others have also criticized her for clinging to power.
