Rosie O’Donnell made one bad decision that left Donald Trump shaking his head

Three Key Takeaways:
- Rosie O’Donnell’s longstanding feud with Donald Trump took a public turn when Trump joked about her during an Irish Prime Minister’s visit, leaving O’Donnell humiliated and upset.
- In an attempt to salvage the situation, O’Donnell apologized to the Irish Prime Minister, but her effort was largely ignored, as Martin wasn’t familiar with her history with Trump.
- O’Donnell, still bitter about Trump’s mockery, revealed she moved to Ireland in part due to the emotional toll Trump’s actions had on her, vowing not to return until he leaves office.
Rosie O’Donnell doesn’t know when to keep her mouth shut.
She humiliated herself again in public.
And Rosie O’Donnell made one bad decision that left Donald Trump shaking his head.
Trump jokes about Rosie O’Donnell with the Irish Prime Minister
Failed talk show host and actress Rosie O’Donnell announced that she fled the United States for Ireland just days before President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
O’Donnell started a bitter 20-year feud with Trump when she was a host on The View.
Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin was fielding questions from the press during a White House visit with Trump when the washed-up actress came up.
“Ireland is known for very happy, fun-loving people,” Real America’s Voice reporter Brian Glenn asked. “Why in the world would you let Rosie O’Donnell move to Ireland? I think she is going to lower your happiness.”
Martin didn’t know who O’Donnell was, so Trump interjected.
“That’s true, I like that question,” Trump said.
“Do you know you have Rosie O’Donnell? Do you know who she is?” Trump asked Martin.
Martin shook his head.
“You’re better off not knowing,” Trump said to a few laughs.
O’Donnell wasn’t happy about Trump cracking a joke about her at the White House.
Rosie O’Donnell tries to apologize to the Irish Prime Minister
The former talk show host was fuming about what happened with Trump and Martin.
O’Donnell revealed that she tried to send a note to Martin apologizing for Trump during an appearance on the Irish TV program The Late, Late Show.
A clip was played of Trump’s joke about her during the press conference with Martin.
“He’s been doing it for two decades, and I’m still not used to it every time he does,” O’Donnell said, adding it was “very, very surreal.”
O’Donnell claimed that the joke was disrespectful so she took it upon herself to apologize for it.
“I felt very troubled that they put the Taoiseach (Irish Prime Minister) in that position and didn’t treat him with the respect that a leader of that kind deserves when he’s visiting the White House,” O’Donnell claimed. “I wrote the Taoiseach with a little note apology to his email and got a note back that they had received it and thanked me. But I just wanted him to know the history and what happened and why he seems to be out to get me in ways that are startling to most.”
Reading the history of what began as a celebrity feud in the 2000s wasn’t at the top of the priority list for Martin.
O’Donnell said during the interview that she never envisioned leaving the United States.
The 2024 Election was “overwhelmingly sad to me personally and way too much for me to take as well emotionally,” according to her.
She was asked about why she moved to Ireland.
“The President of the United States has it out for me and has for 20 years,” O’Donnell said. “He sort of uses me as a punchline whenever he feels the need.”
Rosie O’Donnell is Ireland’s problem because she claims she won’t return to the United States until Trump leaves office.
