Dem Blocked By Soldiers For Trying To Visit Illegal Alien

Dem Blocked By Soldiers

Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) tried to illegally enter a prison in El Salvador to visit a deported illegal alien, but was blocked by soldiers.

Over the past few days, Democrats and their allies in the mainstream media have been rallying around deported MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who they have repeatedly falsely claimed was a “Maryland man” and “Maryland father” who was “mistakenly deported.” While Abrego Garcia did live in Maryland for some time, he is a confirmed citizen of El Salvador who illegally entered the U.S. sometime in 2012, and has been confirmed by two separate judges to be a member of the violent gang MS-13. It has also since been confirmed that Abrego Garcia was a wife beater — as his wife had to obtain restraining orders on him twice, though she is now going on a publicity tour and soliciting donations for her husband. Abrego Garcia had also allegedly been caught trafficking humans.

Of course, none of that information has stopped the Democrats from rallying around Abrego Garcia, as they continue to lie to the American people that the illegal alien was just an innocent “Maryland man.”

Van Hollen traveled to El Salvador in a publicity stunt, where he was attempting to visit Abrego Garcia in the country’s mega prison, known as the Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT). El Salvadorian President Nayib Bukele denied this request, but that apparently did not stop the Democrat senator.

In a video posted to X, Van Hollen explained that he was blocked from entering the prison — which the El Salvadorian government had already blocked him from entering — by a group of soldiers at a military checkpoint. Standing alongside Chris Newman, the attorney for Abrego Garcia’s wife and mother, Van Hollen whined on camera about being denied access.

“These soldiers were ordered to prevent us from going any farther from this spot,” the Democrat senator said in the video. “I understand we’re about 3 kilometers now from CECOT, and as you can see, they’re letting other cars go by, but they stopped us because they’re under orders not to allow us to proceed to check on the well-being of Kilmar Abrego Garcia.”

Van Hollen was ruthlessly roasted on social media, with many arguing that he should be expelled from Congress and arrested for violating the Logan Act, which bars Americans from interfering with diplomatic relations between the U.S. and foreign governments.

“You deserve to be removed from the Senate. You failed your American constituents,” wrote Gunther Eagleman.

Responding to Eagleman’s post, another user highlighted the Logan Act, sharing a screenshot that reads: “If a U.S. senator visits a foreign country to coerce a foreign leader into releasing a criminal alien, they may violate the Logan Act (1799). The Logan Act prohibits unauthorized U.S. citizens, including senators acting outside official capacity, from engaging in communications with foreign governments to influence their actions in disputes or controversies involving the U.S. or to undermine U.S. policy.”

“You’ve been told already that you will not be allowed in without prior authorization. You’re nothing but a grandstanding clown who is wasting American taxpayer’s $. You are more concerned about a wife beating, illegal MS-13 gang member than law abiding citizens of your state,” Savannah wrote.

“Sen. Van Hollen needs to be tried for treason,” another user argued.
