And Kamala Harris will never forgive Barack Obama for this secret betrayal.
“FIGHT: Inside the WIldest Battle for the White House,” by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes is another example of how the press is coming clean about Joe Biden’s mental incompetence and Kamala Harris’ inadequacy now that neither serves as a political purpose and there is money to be made.
Allen told MSNBC’s Morning Joe that even though Barack Obama issued a statement of support for Joe Biden following the shambolic June 27 debate, Obama wanted Biden gone.
But Obama also wanted to send Kamala Harris packing as well.
“President Obama absolutely did not think that Joe Biden should continue, according to our sources close to President Obama and he also didn’t want Kamala Harris to be the replacement for Biden,” Allen began.
Obama knew Kamala Harris was politically incompetent and he pushed for an open primary to pick a new candidate.
“He didn’t think that she was the best choice for Democrats, and he worked really behind the scenes for a long time to try to have a mini-primary, or an open convention, or a mini-primary leading to an open convention. [He] did not have faith in her ability to win the election,” Allen continued.
“He was really working against her,” Allen stated.
The day Biden dropped out of the race, Obama published a statement on Medium where he hinted he wanted some kind of primary or open convention for Democrats to pick a candidate other than Kamala.
“But I have extraordinary confidence that the leaders of our party will be able to create a process from which an outstanding nominee emerges,” Obama wrote.
Allen recounted how within hours of Biden quitting the race, Obama tried to line up a call with South Carolina Congressman James Clyburn.
It was Clyburn’s endorsement of Obama and Biden in 2008 and 2020 that sent both men on a trajectory to win the South Carolina primary and eventually the Democrat Party nomination.
Clyburn knew what Obama wanted and raced to get out his endorsement of Kamala Harris to head off the call.
“In one moment, he had set up a phone call with Congressman [James] Clyburn from South Carolina on the day that Joe Biden handed off the baton to Kamala Harris, and Obama had set up a call with Clyburn for like 5:30 that afternoon. And Clyburn thought to himself, this guy is going to try to rope me into the open convection thing, I better get my endorsement of Harris out there fast so this is a short conversation,” Allen continued.
Obama eventually endorsed Kamala Harris.
But not until five days later, after Obama exhausted all possibilities of trying to find a different nominee.
“Earlier this week, Michelle and I called our friend @KamalaHarris. We told her we think she’ll make a fantastic President of the United States, and that she has our full support. At this critical moment for our country, we’re going to do everything we can to make sure she wins in November. We hope you’ll join us,” Obama wrote on social media.
Had this been a Republican, the media would have reported minute by minute how top party leaders didn’t think they could win.
However, the media was all in on colluding with Democrats to beat Donald Trump, so they hid the truth about what Democrats really thought of Kamala from the public until now.
