Kristi Noem travels to El Salvador’s maximum-security prison
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem ignited a firestorm of controversy when she traveled to El Salvador to record a video at the Terrorism Confinement Center – the country’s maximum-security prison for violent gang members.
More than 200 members of the Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua were deported by the Trump administration and shipped to prison.
Noem warned criminal illegal aliens to leave the country or risk being sent to the Terrorism Confinement Center.
The imagery of Noem standing in front of dozens of gang members behind bars drove Democrats and their media allies up the wall.
Former Obama administration official Marie Harf had a hissy fit over Noem’s video during a segment on Fox News Channel’s Outnumbered.
“I think that Democrats have a real opportunity here in part because the Trump administration is really overplaying their hand,” Harf said. “You’re right that Democrats want to deport illegal immigrants and support that.”
Harf baselessly claimed that Noem recorded a Nazi-style video from the prison.
“They don’t support people with legal visas getting disappeared off the streets or Kristi Noem standing in front of prisoners in very uncomfortable like Nazi-style ideology,” Harf ranted. “So I think Republicans are overplaying their hand here.”
Fox Business host Larry Kudlow was caught off guard at Harf’s comment and simply responded, “Whoa.”

Former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany wasn’t buying Harf’s hysteria.
“Nazi-style ideology?” McEnany exclaimed. “She was standing in front of a prison in El Salvador with hardened criminals behind her.”
Harf wasn’t backing down and complained that the video was one of the most offensive things she had ever seen in her life.
“Don’t go there, Marie,” Kudlow warned.
He accused Harf of trying to smear conservatives with an absurd Nazi comparison.
“It’s not a slur, Larry. That imagery was one of the most offensive things I’ve ever seen,” Harf exclaimed.
McEnany asked Harf if she realized that the video was shot in a prison in El Salvador “in front of hardened criminals.”
Harf didn’t understand why Noem had to stand in front of prisoners.
McEnany explained that the video was meant to deter and send a “message” to illegal aliens.
The Trump administration has made deterrence a part of its strategy to secure the border and remove illegal aliens from the country.
Noem recorded a series of videos in Spanish warning illegal aliens that they would be deported if they didn’t leave.
The Trump administration is letting illegal aliens know there’s a new sheriff and the free ride under Biden has come to an end.
Some illegal aliens have begun to self-deport rather than risk getting arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Kristi Noem is spreading the word that the administration isn’t playing games when it comes to cracking down on illegal immigration.
