PROTEST - Met Museum places crucifix in sexual display

There will be a disgusting exhibit later this month in New York City called Spectrum of Desire: Love, Sex, and Gender in the Middle Ages.

Why is this so bad?

Because…

  1. It will take Holy Objects such as Crucifixion scenes and present them as proof that gender ideology started in the Middle Ages.

  2. This vulgar exhibit will be held at the Met Cloisters, buildings which were formerly monasteries and abbeys. What a slap in the face to the chaste souls who once lived there!

  3. The Metropolitan Museum of Art is the most prestigious museum in the United States. For them to hold such an exhibit is unacceptable!

The American TFP just launched a petition drive, demanding that this exhibit be cancelled immediately!

Pope Leo XIII destroys this lie in his encyclical Immortale Dei.

In it, he called the Middle Ages “a time when States were governed by the philosophy of the Gospel.”

Faithful Catholics know, the Gospels condemn sexual impurity.

That’s why suggesting that crucifixes, statues of saints, and pious illustrations are proof of sexual deviancy is utterly unacceptable!

As Catholics, we need to tell the Met that this is not okay.

Please send this message by  signing the petition. With your support and prayers, let’s see if this thing can get cancelled!

To Max Hollein, CEO of Metropolitan Museum of Art,

It has come to my knowledge that you are permitting an exhibit that shows the Middle Ages as a time of carnal pleasure and perversity.

It is called: “Spectrum of Desire: Love, Sex, and Gender in the Middle Ages.”

This exhibit appears to showcase sacred objects and use them as proof that the Middle Ages was a time of sexual deviancy.

By including crucifixes, images of the saints, and pious illustrations in this exhibit, you are targeting millions of faithful Americans nationwide.

More importantly, you are offending God.

I demand that you stop this display from taking place at the Met Cloisters immediately.
