The serious business of the day was putting the final stake through the heart of Schumer’s 43 days of folly. That doesn’t mean there’s no room to have fun at old Chucky’s expense.
Unlike President Autopen, Trump actually likes being around people, and never seems to miss a chance to call folks together in the Oval Office, whether for an important signing, or to recognize an achievement, or to gab with the press for however long he decides to make himself available.
The ‘senility’ argument they’re trying to build around Trump is all the more laughably unserious when you compare his glad-handing public appearances with Joe’s wooden ones where every interaction follows the script on his cue-cards.
This first clip is the serious news of the day, where he’s surrounded himself with folks who held the line while Schumer spewed his impotent rage, until they got the government open again.
The Second clip is way more fun, and hilarious because it came from the official WH account.
Set to Sarah McLachlan’s ‘I Will Remember You’, it is a final homage to all the Sombrero memes that had Democrats. beside themselves in the early part of the Schumer Shutdown… and kept right on poking them right to the end. It might even have some you missed.
