Black Celebs Want Monuments in Every State to Honor Kaepernick, Trayvon, Michelle Obama

But no plans for one for Barack!

The raging leftist outlet Mic.com had a vision that one day, all Confederate monuments in the United States would be torn down and replaced with monuments honoring the contributions of prominent figures from the black community. Their dream is closer to reality with the launch of The Black Monuments Project.
With dozens of black celebrities and politicians on board, the push is to get statues of black heroes in all 50 states, as well as U.S. territories.
“We can do better,” states the campaign. “That these Confederates are lionized in the form of at least 718 statues and memorials across the nation reflects how invested many Americans remain in affirming the white supremacy they sought, and celebrating a past where slavery defined the racial hierarchy.”
Inspired by Bree Newsome, who climbed the Confederate flag pole at the South Carolina Statehouse in 2015 to tear down the southern flag, the Black Monuments Project hopes to tear down more monuments dedicated to the historical Civil War and replace them with “black heroes… instead of the white supremacists who would see them locked in chains.”
For instance, where the Confederate flag used to fly in the capitol of South Carolina, the group would like to see a statue of the Charleston Nine — the black churchgoers murdered by Dylann Roof:
In the months leading up to the massacre he carried out at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, Dylann Roof gave himself tours of the abundant Confederate markers and slave plantations dotting South Carolina. The trip fueled his appreciation for the violence these places commemorated. Might a comparable abundance of black monuments plant a greater respect for black humanity in others?
In place of Gen. Robert E. Lee’s statue in Charlottesville, Virginia, these activists want a monument dedicated to Henrietta Lacks, “the black woman whose cells were stolen by doctors and formed the basis for decades of vital medical research.”
At Mic.com, there are suggestions for monuments in every state, including one of Prince in Minnesota, Rep. Maxine Waters in Missouri, anthem kneeler Colin Kaepernick in Wisconsin, Anita Hill in Oklahoma, Rep. John Lewis in Georgia, Trayvon Martin in Florida, one for Black Panther Aaron Lloyd Dixon in Washington state, and Michelle Obama in Illinois. Astonishingly, there is no proposed statue to honor Barack Obama in the initial rollout.
The campaign adds:
“Imagining an America free of Confederate monuments, where black heroes are valorized instead of those who viewed them as subhuman, mirrors a pattern that marks much American discourse on the subject. Even as white supremacists continue rallying around these monuments and some political figures double down on keeping Confederate statues erect, a movement to tear them down gains energy… May the Black Monuments Project push the conversation forward. Happy Black History Month.”
Mic posted a video of the celebrities sharing the proposed nominees:

It should be noted that no one is stopping them from doing this themselves. There's enough money represented in the video to at least get the ball rolling. Build them, put them up. But it appears that, like all leftist ideas, they would rather use other people's money. That's going to be a hard sale when they're honoring Kaepernick and a Black Panther. How about they put those up on their own property? Show us your dedication to this project. We'll wait.

Female Execs Demand Recording Academy Chief’s Resignation for Offending Women

Wouldn't it be nice if good music was the goal instead of identity politics?

Twenty-one female record industry executives have signed a letter addressed to Recording Academy President Neil Portnow demanding he step down after saying female artists need to “step up” to be better represented at the Grammys.
After the award show, Portnow was asked why more women weren’t represented across the categories. He said:
“It has to begin with women who have the creativity in their hearts and their souls who want to be musicians, who want to be engineers, who want to be producers, who want to be part of the industry on an executive level to step up.”
How dare he encourage women to give it all they got?
Many female pop stars, like Pink, Katy Perry, and Sheryl Crow, took great offense at Portnow’s comments and pushed the hashtag, #GrammysSoMale, on social media. Crow whined on Twitter, asking, “Who will young girls be inspired by to pick up a guitar and rock when most every category is filled with men?”
The better question is, who will young girls be inspired by to pick up a guitar and rock when the most popular music on the planet doesn’t involve guitars, nor rocking?
Portnow issued an apology after the backlash, saying, “Regrettably, I used two words, ‘step up,’ that, when taken out of context, do not convey my beliefs and the point I was trying to make.” He went on to say that women face barriers in the music industry that men don’t and added, “We must welcome, mentor, and empower them.”
But the apology was never going to satiate the savage appetite of feminism. And so, the female execs composed a letter and let him know it’s time to go. Thirteen thousand people who’ve signed the petition agree:
Dear Mr. Neil Portnow,
The statement you made this week about women in music needing to “step up” was spectacularly wrong and insulting and, at its core, oblivious to the vast body of work created by and with women. Your attempt to backpedal only emphasizes your refusal to recognize us and our achievements. Your most recent remarks do not constitute recognition of women’s achievements, but rather a call for men to take action to “welcome” women. We do not await your welcome into the fraternity. We do not have to sing louder, jump higher or be nicer to prove ourselves.
We step up every single day and have been doing so for a long time. The fact that you don’t realize this means it’s time for you to step down.
Today we are stepping up and stepping in to demand your resignation…
We are here not to merely reprimand you, but to shed light on why there is such an outcry over your comments and remind you of the challenges that women face in our country and, specifically, in the music industry. Your comments are another slap in the face to women, whether intended or not; whether taken out of context, or not. Needless to say, if you are not part of the solution, then you must accept that YOU are part of the problem. Time’s up, Neil.
Maybe if the recording industry would focus more on talent than identity politics, we could have a resurgence of good, diverse music that is deserving of an award instead of the repetitive noise generated by spoiled leftists.

‘Law & Order: SVU’ Features Rape of Coulter-Like Character

The official SUV Twitter account retweeted a fan who couldn’t decide “who to feel bad for,” the conservative rape victim or her attacker.

NBC's long-running Law & Order police procedural and its numerous spinoffs frequently announce that each episode is "ripped from today's headlines." The series can always be counted on to put a left-leaning spin on those current events-inspired plots; Christians and conservatives, for example, are invariably depicted as hypocritical bigots and/or religious fanatics, if not actual murderers.
Wednesday's politically-charged episode of Law & Order: SVU (Special Victims Unit) depicted the brutal rape of a fictional conservative pundit, who, as Breitbart notes, "eerily resembles author Ann Coulter," in an episode titled "Info Wars."
Breitbart reports that the episode follows outspoken conservative Martha Cobb as she addresses a Make America Great Again hat-wearing crowd on a university campus. Cobb’s verbal attack on “liberal snowflakes” is cut short when Antifa protesters and white supremacists clash violently. Cobb is later found beaten and sexually assaulted with the pole of a protest sign.
The show's main characters debate Cobb's political views and wonder if her assailant could have been motivated by her support of policies that would “close down Planned Parenthood and deport the Dreamers.”
An Antifa member is eventually arrested, and the evidence against him seems overwhelming until an alt-right leader at the campus event becomes a person of interest. Breitbart points out that the plot "appears to conflate supporters of President Donald Trump with white supremacists" by having the alt-right character -- the “Grand Wizard” of a group called Patriots for the American Way" saying he wants to Make America Great Again.
SPOILER ALERT
The trial ends with Cobb’s lawyer asking the judge to dismiss the case, saying, “I am sure that the perpetrator of this crime will never be known to a legal certainty.”
On Wednesday, L&O:SVU writer Robert B. Cohen responded to a tweet by Ann Coulter about a California city government’s vote to remove a Christopher Columbus statue from city hall. “Timely. #InfoWars,” Cohen tweeted.
The official SUV Twitter account then retweeted a fan who said they couldn’t decide “who [sic] to feel bad for,” the conservative rape victim or her attacker.
The left always finds violence against conservatives, whether real or fictional, to be funny and deserved. Wouldn't it be nice if there were a conservative alternative to the politically predictable Law & Order? One in which Christians and conservatives are shown to be decent human beings and in which MS-13 gang members, sanctuary city mayors, Antifa thugs, and criminally corrupt inner city Democrat politicians all get their due?

Cecile Richards: Christian Doctors and Nurses Should be Forced to Perform Abortions

NATIONAL   STEVEN ERTELT   JAN 31, 2018   |   4:02PM    WASHINGTON, DC
Cecile Richards is on her way out the door as the CEO of the Planned Parenthood abortion business. But before leaving she is offering one final shot at pro-life medical professionals.
Richards, in a fundraising email to a pro abortion members of Planned Parenthood, essentially says that Christians should be forced to perform abortions. She aggressively criticizes the new conscience protections President Donald Trump has put in place to protect the civil rights of Americans who are medical workers who do not want to be forced to perform or assist in abortions.
As LifeNews reported, Trump launched a new division within the Department of Health and Human Services to protect nurses and doctors who don’t want to perform abortions. The division will protect anyone who has a “moral objection” to involvement in an abortion because it kills an unborn child before birth.
“The Conscience and Religious Freedom Division has been established to restore federal enforcement of our nation’s laws that protect the fundamental and unalienable rights of conscience and religious freedom,” HHS Acting Secretary Eric Hargan said upon announcement. “The Conscience and Religious Freedom Division has been established to restore federal enforcement of our nation’s laws that protect the fundamental and unalienable rights of conscience and religious freedom.”
But Richards says protecting pro-life doctors and nurses from being forced to perform abortions is “shameful.” From her fundraising plea entitled “Discrimination, plain and simple. Fight back now:”
President Trump continues to outdo himself when it comes to pushing terrible health care policy that will do nothing but hurt patients.
But his latest attack is truly shameful: a proposed rule released by HHS seeks to encourage health care workers to discriminate against patients by refusing to provide care because of religious, moral, or personal objections.
Heath care workers might refuse to treat … a person seeking an abortion.
HHS is collecting official public comments on this outrageous new proposal, and it’s our best opportunity to stop it before it becomes the law — impacting people everywhere across the country.
Take a moment to submit your official comment to HHS: Don’t encourage discrimination against people seeking health care.
The number of comments we collect can be used in legal challenges to stop these attacks — so your submission really matters (and it only takes two minutes!).
In each and every one of Trump’s attacks on reproductive health care, it’s patients who are hurt the most. From people living with HIV to trans people to those seeking abortions, these attacks make it even harder for people to access care.
At Planned Parenthood Action Fund, we will always stand firm in our mission to expand access to care and to make it easier for people to get the services they need to live full, independent lives. These discriminatory policies fly right in the face of that mission — and we won’t stand for it.
So there you have it. Planned Parenthood’s mission is abortion and anything standing in the way of unfettered access to unlimited abortions won’t be tolerated. So much for pro-choice, this is pro-abortion and to hell with your conscience pro-life doctors and nurses.
