Dumbing Down America :: By Jim Towers

Dumbing Down America :: By Jim Towers

Ignorance has always been with us, but it was well hidden behind masks of righteousness even with the peace and love hippie movement. Today, it’s in-your-face brutality and amorality in America and around the world.
Here in America, the dumbing down began to get really serious with Bevis and Butthead. Sure, there’s always been silliness back and forth in the entertainment industry, especially with comic characters, but these guys took it all to another level where nothing was sacred anymore. What with the sniveling remarks and innuendo by these two weirdos, America began its descent into depravity. Then came the Jackass team of outrageous and dangerous stunts, laughing all the while at their thoughtless antics. But these pranks were physically and culturally dangerous.
Do you remember how they used to pay a drunken bum two bucks to ride in a runaway shopping cart careening downhill, and laughed when the thing crashed? The inebriated bums had nothing to lose but what little pride they might have had – all for a bottle of sweet Lucy. Drunkenness is no laughing matter, and neither is a fallen human being, but young people loved it all.
Today, there are videos being done on the internet that promote other crazy stunts that might depict a young man with his clothes on fire, jumping into a swimming pool. If you’ve ever been burned, you know that the pain is incredible. Fire is nothing to play with. Nevertheless, little boys will try anything on a dare.
Even young children are falling prey to this evil what with Catholic priest pedophiles and corrupt teachers – teaching and doing things to children who are too young to understand and cannot defend themselves. This is being done by these satanic, evil-minded people to indoctrinate them into the beasts they could become if they don’t overcome by faith in Christ.
“Naked and Afraid” is the name of a popular television reality show where a woman goes about in the wilderness without a stitch of clothing, and appearing to be afraid of her own shadow.
There are gay pride parades throughout most of the world, even in Jesus’ home state. A parade of fearsome-looking creatures walk about shamelessly naked and dressed like the perverts they are. It must have been the same during the time of Sodom and Gomorrah – and we all know what happened to them. We live in a world where anything and everything goes.
Recently, over seventy people overdosed on hard drugs in a park where they were shooting up, snorting and ingesting pills. Americans continue being dumbed down and deceived by the millions (some even going so far as committing suicide) by the father of lies—the great deceiver, Satan.
For a week, the burning man celebration begins the last week in August in the Black Rock Dessert in Nevada. This is all about human sexuality where promiscuous people are free to do what they will while naked.
Whatever happened to basic human values – morality, modesty, integrity, honesty, virtue, empathy, sincerity, and hope? These characteristics have all but disappeared on America’s landscape.
The Apostle Paul tells Timothy in his second letter what to expect in the end times, in which he says:
“But know this, that perilous times will come; for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away. For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth” (2 Timothy 3:1-7).
And then there are the fruits of the Spirit as mentioned in the Bible, which are…
“Love,
Joy,
Peace,
Longsuffering,
Gentleness,
Goodness,
Faith,
Meekness,
Temperance:
against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts” (Galatians 5:22-26 King James Version).
Do you possess them?
“For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world” (Philippians 2:13-15).

Correction about Linda Harvey: The original article “The Democrat Ring of Pedophiles” (from which I quoted regarding Linda Harvey in my last article “Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing”) was in error in saying she is an LGBT activist. The original Tea Party Tribune article should have said former LGBT activist. Linda Harvey became a Bible-believing Christian in 1992.

Watching This World Go Mad :: By Dr. Donald Whitchard

Something to Think About While Watching This World Go Mad
If there is one absolute dominant teaching going on in society today, is that people believe that there are no absolutes in the world. Truth is what you believe it to be at the moment. What may be good for someone may not be viable to someone else. We as a nation and some who call themselves Christian believe that everything is relative, and that this world and its systems are a product of chance with no real bearing on what goes on in an individual’s life these days.
For example, one young pastor that is identified with a church based in Australia has gone on the record as saying that evolution is compatible with Christianity and that God used it as a means of creation. Many confessing Christians believe that Jesus sinned and that there is more than one way to heaven. They believe that the Scriptures have errors and that they can’t be trusted in the light of recent scholarship. To many, the reality of hell is reduced to a place that has no bearing on the consequences of illicit living. It looks convenience has given way to rational thought and inquiry.
I beg to differ. There are absolute standards whether people want to believe it or not. There is one way to heaven and His name is Jesus Christ. I say this as a pastor, former history teacher, and something of a biblical scholar who lives in the real world and who has challenged current mindsets to the fact that this world is not a chaotic, mindless drama of “whatever feels good.”
Truth gets in the way of lazy thinking, and this school of chaos according to the world fails to look at the world’s history as a goal-directed, focused scheme of the living God who has all things under His control. He is not going to let the world’s mindset be the dominant view, nor is He going to allow the purveyors of random living get away with it.
Despite the thinking and caterwauling of a wicked society, all that we call history has a purpose and objective. Nothing is random or accidental. This current, worldwide madness has NEVER ONCE caught God off guard or scratching His head. History, if anything, shows the fact that we have gone off doing our own thing without God, and sometimes He lets us eat the bitter fruit of our godless behavior.
God’s will shall be done in the annals of history; and if there was anyone who was goal-directed and focused in reality, it was Jesus Christ. He had a mission to do and He let nothing get in the way of His objective, which was to rescue a bunch of self-absorbed, narcissistic, selfish, arrogant, and downright wicked people and transform them into bold champions for Him who turned the world upside down with the absolute truth of the Gospel.
Jesus Christ brings relativistic thought crashing to the ground and burning to cold embers. He challenges and overcomes self-absorption, illogical thinking, and the belief that we are all accidents of evolution, and will, one day, bury them in the chambers of hell with all who dispute or challenge His authority. Despite what some thinkers bellow, we have purpose and meaning, and we all have our part to play in God’s amazing story.
We are not products of random chance, but creatures made in the image of God who are precious to Him. We are to NEVER think of ourselves as merely cogs in the wheel of nothingness.
The Scriptures tell us to have a ready defense of what we believe as disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. We who follow Him without reservation are to be the recipients of a new heaven and a new earth, with Christ as the center of all being and purpose, ruling over us as King of kings and Lord of lords. We can’t let those whose worldview is cold chance be allowed to go on the dangerous route of non-belief, but we are to present a true, historically reliable, Christ-centered lifestyle and thought that is grounded in the source of real history and loving grace.
We are not to let the world’s irrational thinking get in the way of the necessity of salvation for people. The Lord Jesus told us to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every living creature (Mark 16:15). That includes everybody, even and especially those whose thinking is based on their feelings instead of truth and reality.
Stay faithful, brethren. He will make all things new. History is on His side.

Of Tyranny and Empathy :: By Bill Wilson

Yet another killer who killed others. We have a shooter in Jacksonville, FL., who killed two and wounded others. Already the leftists and socialists are calling for more gun control and disarmament. Interesting, however, that it was a “gun free” zone where the 24-year-old killer shot his victims. In Chicago a week ago, there were 61 shootings over the weekend. This, in a city and a state where gun control is among the toughest in the nation. Over and over again, it is proven that gun control fails miserably at controlling guns.
The guns fall in the hands of criminals who would use them. They are not law-abiding, so how could any sane person expect them to obey gun control laws? This is a people problem, not a gun problem.
A friend read me a brief story the other day about gun control. I don’t know if the facts are right, but the point is well taken. It said that American citizens privately owned over 300 million firearms and more than a trillion rounds of ammunition. The tagline was that if law abiding gun owners were the problem, America would know about it. The vast majority of those who own guns are law abiding and would never want to use them to inflict harm on someone.
According to the real-time data of deaths in America since January 1, 2018 as reported by the Centers for Disease Control—abortion is the leading cause of death at 713,565; Heart Disease is next at 401,441, followed by cancer at 386,642. Murder by guns is 23rd at 7,510—essentially 1% that of abortions. Drunk driving kills three times as many people as do guns.
The gun control crowd’s appeasement is that they respect that the 2nd Amendment guarantees the right of citizens to own guns for hunting and sport shooting. But we know that’s not the left’s true position.
Of the dozens of quotes by Madison, Jefferson, Adams, Lee and more, perhaps Noah Webster said it best in his 1787 “An Examination into the Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution”:
“Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom of Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any bands of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States.”
In 1788, Richard Henry Lee wrote, “To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of people always possess arms, and be taught alike especially when young, how to use them.”
The Founders wanted to guarantee that any standing army would be regulated by citizen armament organized into militia. This was the only way to protect and defend personal liberty.
Even Jesus believed in personal defense. He instructed his disciples to purchase the common weapon of his time—the sword:
“And he that has no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one (Luke 22:36).”
The leftist cries to undermine the right to protect and defend oneself and one’s family against the opponents of liberty—whether they be thieves or governments or both—are rooted in tyranny rather than empathy.

Awesome :: By Daymond Duck

It is awesome to watch God setting up the fulfillment of remarkable end-of-the-age Bible prophecies.
His power and accuracy are mind-blowing, awe-inspiring and magnificent.
Here are four remarkable examples:
First, in past articles I have mentioned that God said the Euphrates River will dry up during the Tribulation Period (Rev. 16:12), and He said there will be streams and pools of water in the desert during the Millennium (Isa. 35:6-7).
It has occurred to me that He was talking about rivers in two different nations: probably Iraq and Israel; and the signs are just the opposite.
In one nation, a river will dry up, and in another nation the rivers (plural) will flow in the desert.
It is amazing, but dams and about five years of drought have greatly reduced the annual water flow in the Euphrates River.
The drought has also impacted Israel, but that nation has appropriated money to build desalination plants to rehabilitate seven rivers (plural) there.
So, in one nation, the once lush green Fertile Crescent is becoming a brown wasteland.
And in the other nation, preparations are being made for water to flow in the desert.
Second, the Antichrist will establish his military headquarters in Israel during the Tribulation Period.
On Aug. 17, 2018, the head of the UN wannabe world government, Sec. Gen. Antonio Guterres, released a report suggesting that armed UN forces could be deployed to Israel to protect the Palestinian civilian population.
God’s prophecies are reliable: About 2,500 years ago, God wrote that the Antichrist will deploy troops to Israel at the time of the end, and the UN wants to deploy troops to Israel (Dan. 11:41-45).
Third, when asked about the signs of His coming and of the end of the age, Jesus said there will be earthquakes in different places (Matt. 24:3-7).
Some Scriptures teach that they will be like birth pains (increase in frequency and intensity as the end of the age approaches).
On Aug. 24, 2018, Michael Snyder posted an excellent article on zerohedge.com, documenting that the number of earthquakes on earth have been 50% above normal in the last 30 days; and some of them have been unusually strong.
Fourth, it is incredible, but the November mid-term elections may be the most important we have ever faced.
We know that the Mark of the Beast will be used to control people.
The Antichrist and False Prophet will identify and kill those who don’t support their world religion and world government (Rev. 13:14-18).
The U.S. is now moving into that kind of scenario, and it represents a great danger to America and the world.
In an effort to control what people think, what they say and how they vote, several social media tech firms (groups such as Apple, Facebook, Google, Spotify, Twitter, etc.) are starting to control what is distributed over their platforms.
Several ministries and conservative groups (American Family Radio, Alex Jones, Dennis Prager, Jim Hanson, Pres. Trump) have already been temporarily suspended or banned from posting information by one or more of these media groups.
There have been studies that prove this is happening.
Some politicians and media are blaming the Russians for intervening in the last U.S. election, but they are saying little to nothing about the social media intervening in the upcoming U.S. elections.
Pres. Trump got into the fray by Tweeting against social media censorship.
Multi-billionaire George Soros is funneling millions of dollars into media groups in an effort to control people and influence who rules over us and who makes the rules.
I saw a report on TV about a Stanford University study that found that George Soros voting machines swayed the last Democrat Party Presidential Nomination in Mrs. Clinton’s favor.
The November elections could cost Americans their freedoms of religion and speech, their right to assemble and bear arms, and more.
If that happens, Americans will never get their rights back, and the coming satanic government will be on a fast track to gain control of the world.

The phone number of the United States Capitol switchboard is (202) 224-3121. A switchboard operator will connect you with the office of the Senator you want to contact.
Censoring or silencing perhaps as much as half of America before the November elections needs to be addressed immediately.

Stand Your Ground :: By Nathele Graham

There’s no doubt that we are in the final days before God’s judgment is poured out on the unbelieving world. The blindness of so many people is astounding. Especially astounding is the blindness of many who claim to be Christians but follow the satanic world rather than our Lord, Jesus Christ. This is a sign of the times; but as we live through this time in history, it takes a greater resolve to stand firmly on the solid Rock rather than sink in the devil’s quicksand.
There has always been persecution against Christians, but that persecution is becoming more open as Christians deny their power through Christ and stand with the world rather than stand with Christ. We can learn much about standing our ground from a certain blind man who received sight from Jesus.
The man had been born blind and was doing what he could to make his way in life. Because of his blindness he couldn’t work to earn a living, so he begged. Everyone around him accepted his plight and some dropped change into his cup or gave him a bit of food. One day he was sitting outside of the Temple, and his life was changed forever. Jesus saw him and blessed him with sight in order that God would be seen in the miracle. Jesus chose a seemingly odd method to heal this man.
When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, and said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.). He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing (John 9:6-7).
There’s always a reason behind Jesus’ methods, and we learn later in the chapter that this event took place on the Sabbath when no work was to be done. The Law said that the Sabbath was a Jewish day of rest, but the Pharisees had gone far beyond God’s directive and defined what things they considered to be work.
Jesus spit, made clay and healed, which were all things the Pharisees said were work. When Jesus told the man to wash in the pool of Siloam, he was quick to obey. He had nothing to lose and everything to gain, so he made his way to the pool of Siloam, washed, and received his sight. Can you imagine the astonishment he felt as the clay fell away and he saw things for the first time in his life? He must have been thrilled.
When people noticed him and became aware that he was able to see, they didn’t share his joy but began debating the matter. “Isn’t this the beggar” they asked, and others said it was just someone who looked like him. They were confused, but this gave the man an opportunity to give his testimony.
He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight” (John 9:11).
Sometimes we try to complicate things, but this man was honest and straightforward. He stated the facts, and it was up to others to come to grips with the truth. This was a new situation for him to be in, but he spoke boldly.  He wasn’t a scholar, but he stood his ground and told them what he could. They should have been happy for him, but they just couldn’t understand how this man had been healed.
People can react to good news in remarkable ways. When the man wasn’t able to tell them where Jesus was, they took him to the Pharisees. Rather than seeking Jesus, they sought after religion. Big mistake. Religious leaders can sometimes be blind to the works of God, and so it was with this miracle. Instead of praising God, they judged this situation by the rules of their religion. They questioned the man, and he clearly stated his testimony, but the Pharisees were the ones who truly were blind.
Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them (John 9:16).
Things haven’t changed much over time, and miracles are still denied if they don’t fit religious rules. Had it been any other day of the week they wouldn’t have questioned it, but they also declared that Jesus was a sinner so he shouldn’t be able to do miracles. The fact that the blind man could see was completely beside the point…all they cared about were the rules.
Today many denominations claim that the gifts of the Spirit have stopped, and some even think that the Sabbath has to be kept, but these people miss out on the freedom we have in Christ. By denying the gifts, the power of the Holy Spirit is stifled. When people tell God what He can and cannot do, or how He can and cannot work, there’s a big problem.
These religious fanatics didn’t stop grilling the man and refused to believe what he said. So, they called his parents in and questioned them. These Pharisees had no desire for truth and were trying to disprove the testimony in every way they could. The parents were questioned as to the blindness of their son; and they were honest, but wary. Yes, the man was their son and was born blind. No, they didn’t know how his blindness had been cured, but they told the Pharisees that their son was an adult and he should speak for himself.
These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue (John 9:22).
For a Jewish person, life centered around the synagogue; and if they couldn’t participate in life there, they would have been cut off from friends, business deals, etc. The parents had to be cautious in what they said because of the Pharisees, but the man would not change his story. He spoke the truth and stuck by it. Still, the Pharisees wouldn’t give up. They chose to remain blind and wanted everyone else to remain blind also.
Once again they called the man on the carpet and tried to prove him wrong. They told him to give God the glory, but that Jesus was a sinner. That’s willful blindness. Jesus was God in the flesh, but the Pharisees did everything they could to prove Him to be just a man. They refused to believe the truth. They met their match with this man who Jesus touched and was no longer blind. He received his sight, and he wasn’t going to allow the disbelief of others to convince him of a lie. His conviction of the truth gave him confidence, and he wasn’t shy about how he answered the questions.
He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?” (John 9:27).
I can just imagine the anger that was building in the Pharisees. Did they want to be Jesus’ disciples? No, they wanted to kill Him.
The Pharisees continued to try to get the man to believe their lies. This man was just a regular guy and not trained in religion. Instead of rules and rituals, he knew the truth and had faith.
The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes. Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. If this man were not of God, he could do nothing (John 9:30-33).
Brothers and sisters, do you have the confidence to speak the truth and defend your faith? If you don’t, you’d better do some studying and find out who Jesus is and what He has done for you. You never know when you’ll be asked to defend your faith.
Persecution of Christians has been happening for nearly 2,000 years. The first followers of Christ were Jewish men who had their eyes and hearts opened to the truth, and their lives were changed forever. That didn’t mean their life would be easy, and most of them would be martyred because of their faith. They would lose friends, and their families would turn on them, but they would not deny Christ. Jesus never said that following Him would be trouble free.
These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father nor me (John 16:1-3).
Jesus warned His disciples, and in warning them He warns us. The persecution then was great; but because they stood their ground, they were able to open the eyes of many people to Christ. Because they wouldn’t change their testimony, they were able to spread the Gospel; and their witness comes to us through Scripture. Life on earth is temporary, but life through Jesus is eternal. Stand your ground and don’t let anyone badger you into denying the truth.
Every Christian today is standing in the place of that man who once was blind. We have been touched by Jesus, and our eyes are opened. That means we should put Him first in our life, even if that means people we love turning on us.
A very bad attitude held by many Christians is an attitude of keeping one foot in the world while claiming to follow Christ. It isn’t judging if you use Scripture to guide your ways and turn away from those lifestyles and attitudes that God’s word says is sin. It isn’t judgment but discernment. That means to deny your own ways and selfish desires and follow Christ.
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me(Matthew 16:24).
He never said it would be easy to stand your ground.
Be assured that life on earth is temporary, but life through Jesus is eternal. Peter and John faced prison when they taught in the name of Jesus. They had healed a man and angered the Pharisees by giving glory to Jesus.
And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all or teach in the name of Jesus” (Acts 4:18).
Does that sound familiar in today’s world?  Our schools and colleges have become cesspools of satanic lies.
But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard” (Acts 4:19-20).
Peter and John stood their ground. Today, Satan is controlling many people in government, education, entertainment, and the media. The liberal agenda is growing stronger; and if Christians don’t stand our ground, we will be silenced.
Brothers and sisters, don’t compromise. Remember to speak in love as you speak out for your faith in Jesus. Stand in love, but stand your ground.
God bless you all,
Nathele Graham
