Uncle Joe Makes Yet Another Gaffe…

Uncle Joe Makes Yet Another Gaffe…

Once again, Joe Biden has put his foot in his mouth about issues which are sensitive for many people. This has become a recurring theme for Biden and it’s definitely going to be problematic for him if it continues.
As of now, Biden is still the Democrat Party’s frontrunner candidate, but he significantly lost support from left-wing voters after the first primary debate. Furthermore, Biden has faced ongoing censure from progressives, accusations of inappropriate physical contact with women, and backlash for his previous work with segregationalist senators.
Biden’s latest misstep comes in the form of statements he made while campaigning in Seattle, Washington, according to Fox News. In an attempt to note the progression of the LGBTQ+ community, the former vice president actually made matters worse for himself and received pushback from the audience which he was speaking to.

Reviewing Biden’s Latest Misstep

During a campaign stop in Seattle, Biden proudly stated that merely five years ago poking “fun at a gay waiter” would have been acceptable. However, people who came to hear Biden speak disagreed with him. Various attendees stated “not in Seattle” and otherwise informed the former vice president that his ideas about five years ago were mistaken and incorrect.
Shortly thereafter, Biden attempted to run damage control by noting his support for gay marriage while serving as vice president under Obama.

More Blunders to Come?

Thus far, Biden has taken heat from his party in regards to his remarks on race, work with controversial senators, and now his statements about LGBTQ+ people. Many Americans have stated that Biden seemingly means well, yet lacks the awareness to discuss certain issues. His previous gaffes have only fed into progressives who believe that Biden is not fit to serve as the nominee for their party.
Only time will tell whether or not Biden continues to make political blunders, embarrass himself, and take more hits to his frontrunner status.

Clarence Thomas urges Supreme Court to revisit stance on abortion

The Supreme Court declined on Friday to hear a case on a 2016 Alabama law prohibiting so-called “dismemberment abortions,” meaning the law will remain off the books thanks to a lower court ruling that the legislation put an “undue burden” on access to abortions, a precedent established in 1992 by the court’s decision on Planned Parenthood v. Casey.
But Justice Clarence Thomas has long maintained that the “undue burden” standard has no basis in the Constitution, and now, Thomas is warning his fellow justices that this case shows the consequences of their past decisions on abortion have “spiraled out of control.”

Spiraling out of control

The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, whose decision will stand now that the Supreme Court has declined to hear the case, ruled in August that dismemberment abortions “cannot be prohibited because there are no alternatives that would not present an ‘unsurmountable obstacle’ to women” seeking abortions, according to National Review.
Of course, “the more developed the child, the more likely an abortion will involve dismembering it,” Thomas writes. Indeed, dismemberment abortions are the most popular form of second-trimester abortions, according to National Review.

But while precedent backs up the logic of 11th Circuit’s three-judge panel, according to Thomas, it would be “implausible” to think that the Constitution would protect such a gruesome procedure.
“The notion that anything in the Constitution prevents States from passing laws prohibiting the dismembering of a living child is implausible,” Thomas wrote in a concurring opinion. “But under the ‘undue burden’ standard adopted by this court, a restriction on abortion — even one limited to prohibiting gruesome methods — is unconstitutional if ‘the purpose or effect of the provision is to place a substantial obstacle in the path of a woman seeking an abortion before the fetus attains viability.'”
Thomas went on to write that while this case, Harris v. West Alabama Women’s Center, wouldn’t have allowed the court to reverse that precedent, it may soon be time to consider doing so.
“This case serves as a stark reminder that our abortion jurisprudence has spiraled out of control,” Thomas wrote. “Although this case does not present the opportunity to address our demonstrably erroneous ‘undue burden’ standard, we cannot continue blinking the reality of what this Court has wrought.”

the game
Luckily for Thomas, it looks like the Supreme Court will have plenty of chances to rule on abortion cases in the near future. The topic has been in headlines in recent weeks as several states have adopted new legislation on it, with some heavily restricting the procedure and others loosening the reins and allowing abortions to take place right up until — and perhaps even after — birth.
These cases could give the newly conservative-leaning court the chance to overturn Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that made access to abortion a right. Conservative legal scholars, joined by Thomas himself, have said that Roe v. Wade should never have been made law of the land because abortion should be an issue left to the states under the Constitution.

But some pro-abortion advocates have warned that women’s health would be at risk if abortion were criminalized. They don’t want to see conditions revert back to a time when some women died after getting illegal abortions from unqualified physicians.
Still, it’s been more than 45 years since the Supreme Court issued its ruling on Roe v. Wade. When the case was first decided, ultrasounds were rare and antibiotics were new, and it was unclear when exactly a fetus was viable or how it developed.
Given how far science has come since then, a reconsideration on the topic makes perfect sense. And with numerous cases on abortion making their way through the courts right now, it may only be a matter of time before that day is upon us.

Why Democrats are jeopardizing our relationship with our best ally in Africa?

17
Since President Trump took office in the White House, the United States’ global policy has taken a 180º turn in order to fulfill the candidate Trump’s promise: “Make America Great Again”. It means fighting for U.S. interests first and making sure America’s security and relations with its closest allies, those who have always been on our side, are kept intact or stronger.

66,187
Unfortunately, sometimes the way the U.S. State Department works does not provide the best frame for Trump’s policy to develop, as it is closely guarded by a small army of Democrats that have infiltrated our foreign policy. Their goal is clear: implementing their own policy instead of the one that our President wants for our country. The difference is clear: on one hand, the Democrats didn’t win the 2016 elections and still want to decide, and on the other one, an elected President’s decisions are not applied not respected.
The case of Cameroon is somehow emblematic of the situation. For more than two years, our foreign policy has targeted this African country, despite any logic and the fact it has been one of our closest ally in West and Central Africa for decades. Not once has Cameroon missed an occasion to be on our side and stand with the USA. Still today, when China is literally buying the African continent, Cameroon is still on the United States’ side despite the fact that our Ambassador on the ground, Peter Barlerin, a well known Democrat activist, is been accused of supporting and organizing the opposition.

Fun fact: the US was the first country to congratulate Paul Biya when he was re-elected in last November.

But pressure and lobbying from some members of the Cameroonian diaspora on the Democrats are putting our relationship in danger, especially when it comes to fight terrorism. In the fight against global terrorism, Cameroon is also one of our closest as they are struggling against two enemies of different nature, but using the same means.
In the extreme-North region, the Cameroonian forces are fighting against the Islamic group Boko Haram who pledged allegiance to ISIS in 2015. With the help of the United States, an international task force has been in action to put down the terrorist organization. The war is still raging, especially in Nigeria, where the group is hiding, and using their territory as a base to launch deadly attacks. But with our support (financial and military), Boko Haram is now weak in Cameroon.
In the North-West and South-East region of Cameroon, the situation may look quite different. Cameroon is 80% French-speaking and has a strong anglophone population, that are mostly located in those two areas. The situation of this minority has not always been perfect and still needs improvements. The authorities have since launched a series of meeting to make sure this issue is being taken care of and satisfy the needs from the English-speaking Cameroonians. Still, this was used as a pretext by secessionists to launch a war against the Cameroonian authorities. Their weapon are ugly: human shield, child soldiers, rapes, decapitations, attacks of schools, economic boycott, and so on. The reason behind this can be found in the presence of oil and gas in those regions – managed by American companies.
Terrorist attacks against the population, in schools, on roads, in fields and cities have spread deaths and injuries. Bede Sheppard, from the Children’s Right department for Human Rights Watch, has stated that the method used by the secessionists are the same used by Boko Haram.
Still, the Democrats inside the U.S. Department of State are blind to this reality and their agenda is not taking into account this reality. They focus on the lack of democracy in Cameroon while supporting George Soros agenda and the opposition.
But how accurate is that statement?

During the last presidential elections in 2018 that were held in Cameroon, international observers insisted on the fact that no massive fraud that could question the results were found, and that during the campaign every voice were heard.
Even after the results were contested in front of the Supreme Court, all the debates were held publicly and broadcast live on national television: a first in Africa.
If President Biya’s main opponent, Maurice Kamto, is now prosecuted it’s for one reason: the calls for violence that emerged from his side, resulting in rampages by members of the diaspora of Cameroonian embassies in Paris, Berlin and Brussels. And when some soldiers are committing crimes, they are arrested and judged by the military court.
Moreover, the diplomatic situation in Africa for the U.S. is in danger. China is omnipresent and Russia is making a strong came back on the region as the situation in the Central African Republic shows. When the two main superpowers in the world that are challenging America by placing their forces in Africa, how could we, at the same time, put in danger our relationship with our strongest ally in the region
The U.S. State Department and it’s African Department must be freed from the negative influence of those Democrats that are preventing President Trump’s policy to go into action. 2020 will be an election year, that will show what the American population desires for our country, and how we need to treat our allies, with respect and consideration.
