Larry Ohara • 26 minutes ago Those republicans are such low lives. God help us..."Lord open their eyes or forever close them!"
Stan • 7 hours ago One correction @20:57 Paul says, New Zealand's capital city Auckland... The city of Wellington is New Zealand's capital.
AcceptingReality Ed Baker • 4 hours ago Lord only knows how long Bergoglio will be Pope. But you can stop listening to him any time you like. You'll be better off spiritually if you do.
Wolemai • 12 hours ago • edited If the Churches all were forced to use the original style of confessionals, with separate sections for the priest and the penitent, where the penitent spoke through a grill to the priest - this COULD NOT HAPPEN! No wonder the post Vac II mob want "confessional rooms" where the priest and penitent sit on chairs FACING EACH OTHER. The whole post Vac II set up is arranged for sex perverts, paedophiles and the removal of any sense at all of us coming before God in penitential sorrow for our sins.
jediliz Wolemai • 4 hours ago Actually my ordinary form parish which I don’t go to mass anymore because i switched fo TLM, but I occasionally went to confession this past year, still has behind the screen confessionals, Though they did use the sacristy for a while before they resumed using the confessionals, which I did not like.
Mike • 13 hours ago If a Muslim cleric questioned the basic tenets of Islam, if he cast into doubt hundreds of years of tradition regarding interpretation of the Koran, and if he attempted to remove reverence from the mosques, I would probably expect people might wonder if he was a Muslim after all. Why we don't hold that same commonsense perspective for Catholic leaders is beyond me.
AcceptingReality Mike • 4 hours ago I know I do take that same commonsense perspective regarding Catholic prelates including the Pope. In fact, I'm pretty sure a bunch of them are freemasons.
Robbi • 13 hours ago Great analogy to Gibson's Apocalypto, Christine and Milo. The perception helped to allow better understanding for the current darkness of the world you report nightly. Guttural revulsion, anxiety and sadness explodes when seeing that sign saying, "Welcome to Illinois. The land where you can decapitate an infant with impunity." The feelings rising really are similar to viewing the black obsidian knives knapped to razer-sharpness lashed with handles in Mexican museums once used for human sacrifice. The reminder of Satan so loving his ceremonial evil of human sacrifice in whatever form it can be accomplished is highly valuable. "As much as things change; they remain the same where evil is concerned."
While important to remember the world existing before Christ, it's also vital to know it will never exist again and can't though evil has existed throughout all time. Virtually everyone on the planet has knowledge of God and the good news of Jesus Christ and knows there is an option of choice of God. The gruesome and brutal Maya and Aztecs didn't have the good news of Jesus Christ. What must God think to see his creation?
robert chacon • 14 hours ago Please CM, dont push a false narrative! I'm not a big Pope Francis fan, BUT he has spoken many times about "Proselytism" and defined it carefully as NOT BEING EQUAL to EVANGELISM. He has defined it as mere intellectual debate without "witness". Any act without witnessing Christ is empty AND SHOULD be avoided. There's nothing wrong with having a discussion about the rationale of the faith, but still that's NOT what he means by "prosetlytism". He's referring to the 'harsh and sterile "shouting down" your target like an obnoxious street preacher who is simply spewing bible quotes and condemning all those who dont agree with him. PLEASE CM do better homework! There's PLENTY of issues to be raised about Francis' papacy. This ISNT one of them.
Stan robert chacon • 8 hours ago It's not CM, it's what Bergoglio had said. Repeatedly.
Bergoglio defined proselytizing carefully
He never did. But he sure talks about it a lot. That and the climate change.
Mike robert chacon • 13 hours ago Didn't the apostles proselytize the Jews? And weren't they proselytized by Jesus?
If anything, we need more Catholics to step up and defend the faith in public (that's kind of how it all started.....)
Wolemai robert chacon • 13 hours ago Robert, you have not been reading what Pope Francis has actually said. He has made it clear he does not want us to be missionaries and try and a win people over to Christ's Catholic Church.
Of course any real attempt to win someone for Christ must involve intelligent explanation of the Faith and that is what the majority of Church missionary activity has done for 2000 years.
Pope Francis has made it clear by his actions that he believes that there are many paths to Heaven. Our Blessed Lord said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me." John 14:6
Jack • 15 hours ago • edited Mk 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
Frankie: Go forth and keep your faith to yourself. Under a basket, as it were.
Illinois should visit the cattle lots of Texas if they want to learn how to efficiently process their abortuary 'clients'.
AcceptingReality Jack • 4 hours ago How's that old song go? "This little light of mine, I'm gonna hide it now. This little light of mine, I'm gonna hide it now.....da, da, da.
