TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE

"They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved." - 2 Thessalonians 2:10b

SOMETHING TO PONDER

I had a pastor friend ask a crowd, “How many want a Ferrari?” Most people’s hands went up. Then he said, “How many are willing to do what it takes to get one?” Every hand went down. We all sacrifice for the things we love. To be honest, as a dad, I’ve been surprised by what I’m willing to sacrifice for my kids, for their good in big and small ways.

God gave his only Son for us to have eternal life (John 3:16), and Jesus endured the cross for the joy set before him: humanity reconciled with his Father (Hebrews 12:2). Jesus also shared parables about how the Kingdom is worth anything we can pay (the pearl of great price, the treasure in the field). When we understand the value, we willingly give up everything for it. What greater treasure than God and eternal life?

Paul writes warnings and explanations to the Thessalonian church about the end times, people given over to deception and destruction. In the teaching, he gives the core reason leaders and individuals believe the lies of the Devil—they didn’t love the truth. Loving the truth is different than hearing it or even being familiar with it. When we love the truth, we pay whatever it takes to get it because we know it leads to salvation and life. We will sacrifice to acquire truth.

For too long in Christianity, we’ve been satisfied with knowing about the truth, like repeating the right doctrine is the solution. But even the demons believe and tremble (James 2:19). We must choose to love the truth, prioritize truth, and sacrifice what it takes to get him. I say him because truth is a person, Christ: the way, the truth, the life. Walking with him in the way brings truth and life. But following Jesus costs us something. Always. And yet, what we get in return is more than worth the cost.

YOUR NIGHTLY PRAYER

Heavenly Father,
I choose to love the truth, not just know about it. You gave your Son so I could have eternal life, and Jesus endured the cross for the joy of reconciliation. I surrender my life, my desires, and my choices to follow you alone. Teach me to value your Kingdom above everything else, to sacrifice for what really, eternally matters. Help me to pursue truth in Christ, knowing he is worth any cost.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

THREE THINGS TO MEDITATE UPON

1. Think of a time you paid a high price for something you really wanted or needed? How easy was it to pay that price?

2. Examine your heart about how you love the truth of God. Do you view it as the most precious resource in all existence?

3. How have you sacrificed things in your life to know truth? What are other ways you do or could show you love the truth, willing to pay any cost?

White House Releases Viral Deportation Video Featuring Tren De Aragua Gang

The White House has released a provocative video showcasing the deportation of Tren De Agua gang members to El Salvador. This deportation operation occurred despite a federal judge’s last-minute attempt to block it using the rarely invoked Alien Enemies Act, sparking intense debate over executive authority and immigration enforcement priorities. How might this affect diplomatic relations with El Salvador beyond President Bukele’s administration?

White House Deportation Video Sparks Controversy

The White House recently published a provocative video documenting the deportation of members from the violent Tren De Agua gang to El Salvador’s maximum security prison. Set to Semisonic’s 1998 hit “Closing Time,” the video delivers a clear message to criminal immigrants that their time in America has ended.

This deportation occurred despite an emergency order from Judge James Boasberg, an Obama appointee, who attempted to halt the operation by invoking the rarely used Alien Enemies Act. By the time the judge’s order was issued, the deportation flights had already crossed into international airspace, effectively placing them beyond U.S. judicial reach.

Legal Dispute and Administration Response

Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller played a key role in expediting the deportation process, ensuring the flights departed before legal obstacles could be fully established. The administration’s decision to proceed with the deportations despite judicial intervention has sparked intense debate about executive authority and the separation of powers.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that MS-13 gang members, including several high-ranking leaders, were among those deported to El Salvador. Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi criticized Judge Boasberg’s ruling, stating, “Tonight, a DC trial judge supported Tren de Aragua terrorists over the safety of Americans.”

El Salvador’s Reception and Political Reactions

Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele has publicly supported the deportations, sharing footage of the gang members being processed into his country’s notorious mega-prison. Bukele’s administration has implemented a tough-on-crime approach that has significantly reduced gang violence in El Salvador, making the country a willing partner in accepting deported gang members.

Border Czar Tom Homan defended the administration’s actions, suggesting the judge was effectively advocating for the return of dangerous criminals to American soil. The deportation operation represents a significant escalation in immigration enforcement tactics under the Trump administration and signals a willingness to test the boundaries of executive authority in pursuit of policy objectives.

Democratic lawmakers have expressed concerns about the precedent this sets for respecting judicial authority, while Republican supporters praise the decisive action against individuals they view as threats to national security. The incident highlights the increasingly polarized perspectives on immigration enforcement and executive power that continue to shape American politics.

ERICKSON: A Few Final Thoughts About Dems Implementing DEI

If you're GOING to do it, why stop at half measures.

[Editor’s Note: Because it is 2025, and half of us have about lost our minds, please take note. Don’t waste your time and ours with angry emails — in case the Columbo pic wasn’t enough of a clue for you, this is satire]

It’s outrageous we don’t fully embrace the Woke agenda. If we did we would hear justice ring across the nation.

Here are just a few examples of how our betters fall short not exercising the power they possess. We must give government total power to install justice by force, 24/7. D.E.I. must be forced on the people if we are to have any hope of saving civilization.

Here is the irrefutable evidence we are failing disenfranchised groups throughout the country.

  • Men who ID as women still do not have full access to bathrooms, and thus, their right to assault others is impaired
  • When did you last see a Mexican playing in NBA? Outrageous discrimination.
  • Come to think of it, to be fair, we must have more whites in the NFL! (Oh wait. Only protected groups get assistance. Not sorry.)
  • Are you aware that women who ID as men have a hard time finding a prom date? Why is that?
  • There are far too many biological females in women’s sports. Trans men are being left out. It’s a terrible injustice.

Just look at all the work we need to do! There are so many groups that need protective status, just to go outside!

We must add ethnicity, homelessness, immigration and citizenship status. What about gender expansive students and neurodivergence? And let’s not forget the old standbys: sexual orientation, gender expression and gender identity, all demanding protection from the haters.

Yes, humans vs. humans, we all need protective status, for without the government holding guns to everyone’s heads, we’d be in a world of hate!

How uncivilized.

HEY LIBS: What Trump Said About Canada’s Conservative Will Melt Your Brains

Trump just threw a huge wrench into the Canadian election

The few people paying attention will notice that up in the Great White North, Trudeau is gone, a WEF globalist took his place, and the commanding Conservative lead is up in smoke.

Surely Trump will throw Pierre Poilievre a lifeline to help him out, right? He’s a Conservative, after all.

Trump’s tariff agenda caught everyone in Canada flat-footed, and it’s a big reason Mark Carney (pictured below with Epstein’s girl) rushed in to fill a sudden and unexpected Trudeau vacancy.

In the same way that the Dems have yet to figure out exactly how to unify in their opposition to Trump, as he moves like a bulldozer through so many of their favorite things, Canadians are scrambling to find a response to the existential threat tariffs will cause the Canadian economy.

Trump may be joking about the 51st state thing. Mostly. But there’s a kernel of truth at the heart of it. Canada’s economy has been characterized by some who know as a house of cards, largely propped up by protectionist trade policy.

Remember the conservative Canuck with the apple who was so popular a while back? He’s the leader of the Conservatives. With an election coming up, and the message of ‘Trudeau is corrupt and can’t lead worth a damn’ suddenly irrelevant with Trudeau leaving, he has to convince a nervous Canadian public that he’s ‘doing someting’.

Leftwing media in Canada (almost oll of it) wants voters to see Poilievere as ‘little Trump’, and uses the same king of ‘pulling his strings’ puppet imagery about their relationship that the Presstitutes try to use in calling Trump subservient to Putin. *Yawn*

Because Canada does not yet see through their lying press, many are believing what they’re being told… which is turning independents away from Pierre, in favor of the shiny new guy from Davos who was just sworn in to replace Trudeau. (Majority Leader gets to be Prime Minister. Just like England. It’s messy, but it’s the system they’ve got.)

Here’s Trump’s chance to set the record straight, to denounce the new guy and smile on Pierre Poilievre, who is a fiscal conservative who believes in many of the same principles that energize MAGA.

Given a chance to make nice with Pierre, what did he do? He said nicer things about the Big Lib than he did about the Conservative who ‘said some bad things’ about him.

Here’s the clip:

Suddenly all of those friends-with-Trump arguments have just boomeranged on Canada’s Libs, and Poilievere is the one Trump doesn’t want. Either he means it, or he’s posturing. And really, with Trump… who can say they’re sure they can tell the difference half the time?

The election just got that much more complicated. Which, in the end, is good for Trump’s bargaining from a position of strength. And he knows it.
