Preschool Child Suspended For Being ‘Transphobic’

A child between the age of 3-4 was suspended from a public preschool after being accused of being “transphobic.”

A shocking report from The U.K. Telegraph shows that two years ago, a child was suspended from a British state preschool for supposedly making “transphobic” remarks.

“Department for Education (DfE) data show the child, aged either three or four, was suspended from a state school in the 2022-23 academic year for ‘abuse against sexual orientation and gender identity,’” the outlet reported.

Speaking with the Telegraph, Free Speech Union director Lord Young called out this insane story.

“It beggars belief that schools are suspending children as young as five for breaching their ‘transphobia’ policy. I would have thought that if your ideology is so rigid it justifies you punishing toddlers for not complying with it, that’s a powerful argument for discarding it in favor of something less dogmatic,” Young said.

Even more shocking is the fact that this was far from the only time a preschool child was suspended for offending the transgender community. According to the Telegraph, “statistics show that 94 pupils at state primary schools were suspended or permanently excluded for transphobia and homophobia in 2022-23.”

One of those incidents happened at a Church of England school in the Isle of Wight in 2022, where the school warned the parents of a six-year-old boy that he would be deemed “transphobic” for questioning why another male student was wearing a dress, according to a report from The Daily Mail.

This news was rightfully mocked on social media, with author and women’s rights activist JK Rowling deeming it “totalitarian insanity.”

“This is totalitarian insanity,” she wrote in a post on X. “If you think small children should be punished for being able to recognise sex, you are a dangerous zealot who should be nowhere near kids or in any position of authority over them.”

Helen Joyce, director of advocacy at Sex Matters, also called it out, writing: “Every once in a while, the extremes of gender ideology throw up a story that seems too crazy to believe, and a toddler being suspended from nursery for so-called ‘transphobia’ or homophobia is one such example.”

“Worse still, this is not an isolated case,” she added. “Apparently, 13 four and five-year-olds were suspended or permanently excluded from school for the same reason. Teachers and school leaders involved in this insanity should be ashamed of themselves for projecting adult concepts and beliefs onto such young children. It’s unforgivable for children’s vital early education to be so traumatically disrupted by school leaders who prioritize activists’ demands over their charges’ wellbeing.”

Of course, the authoritarian leftists in the British government are defending these ludicrous actions.

A spokesperson for the British Department for Education claimed: “All pupils and staff should feel safe and protected at school and should never face violence or abuse. The Education Secretary has been clear that she expects school leaders to enforce good behaviour and we are committed to a comprehensive programme of behaviour support for schools. Our Plan for Change sets out our relentless focus on making sure every child gets the best life chances, no matter their background.”

TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8

SOMETHING TO PONDER

A popular book once detailed how each of us has our “love languages.” He listed five, and marriage counselors referred to it or suggested it for years. The idea was simple—each of us shows or interprets love in specific ways like acts of service or words of encouragement. These five ways overlapped enough with the Bible that churches and pastors used it in various ways, as well.

The Bible clearly expresses how love isn’t a passionate emotion alone. This makes sense to us. We want people to not only say they love us, which is important, but to show us somehow. Love not only wants and expresses the best for others but acts self-sacrificially for their eternal good. The apostle Paul lists the ways we participate in God’s love—patient, kind, doesn’t rejoice in iniquity but the truth, etc. (1 Corinthians 13

In another letter, Paul makes a powerful statement. God has love for us, and he demonstrated it in the clearest way possible. While we continued to sin, rejected God, rebelled against his love, he showed us his love through giving his Son. Even though we would have denied we needed it, and many still do, he chose to reveal his love by dying on our behalf so we could choose to live. Within Christ’s death, the finished work of love is available: forgiveness, redemption, being born again through the Holy Spirit, and living forever in the Kingdom of God

We go through hard times, and we often question God’s love for us. We sing about it, hear about it, but it seems far away when we feel discouraged. In those moments, we can remember God has shown us his love through Christ’s death, and from that truth, we trust his love will give us all we need today and in the future.

YOUR NIGHTLY PRAYER

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for showing your perfect love to us through Christ’s sacrifice. You didn’t wait for us to be worthy or deserving but loved us while we yet rebelled against you in sin. Strengthen us to trust your love when we feel discouraged and defeated. We pray our actions reveal your love through serving others in joy and truth. Fill us with your Spirit so we can love like Jesus does.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

THREE THINGS TO MEDITATE UPON

1. How do you feel loved? What do people do that makes you feel loved?

2. How does God giving us his Son for our redemption and freedom connect with your love language?

3. When you feel discouraged and defeated, how does meditating upon God’s great love to us through Christ help and comfort you?
