Arlington, Va. Resident Sent to Hospital in Ebola Scare

A person who recently traveled to an Ebola-affected area was transported to a hospital in Arlington, Va., this morning, but county officials do not believe the individual has the disease, the Washington Post reports.
The individual, a resident of the Beacon at Clarendon apartment building in Arlington, was transported to the Virginia Hospital Center at 10:30 A.M. this morning by the Arlington County Fire Department. The county said in a press release at 5:40 P.M. that while the person had a fever and had recently visited an Ebola-affected area, the individual “had no known exposure to any Ebola cases, and medical findings are not consistent with a diagnosis of Ebola.”
The individual has been released from the hospital but will be monitored by the county through the conclusion of a 21-day incubation period.
