Illinois fails to pass budget before deadline

The state of Illinois has been without a budget for 3 years in a row. After missing another budget deadline, the state's credit rating will now be downgraded to "junk." Mark Maxwell, Illinois capitol bureau chief for WCIA-TV, joins CBSN with more details.

Illinois is a NATIONAL EMBARRASSMENT because of corruption in Chicago and corruption in Cook County, which is largely controlled by corrupt Chicago politicians. They have not managed the money that they had responsibly -- what makes anyone think or believe that they will manage MORE money any better?!?! THEY WON'T!!!! They create desperate, crazy and ridiculous taxes on cigarettes, entertainment, plastic bags, sweetened beverages -- anything they can get away with and they are still broke! The state of Illinois is in ruins. Period. Millions of people's lives/families/financial security are at stake by corrupt people who mismanage money but always manage to line their own bank accounts. PRESIDENT TRUMP -- PLEASE SEND IN THE FEDS!!!
