Democrats and their Resistance shock troops are always quick to clamber onto their soapboxes and shout how they are the party of women’s rights but somehow, that claim rings hollow when it comes to themselves.
The prime example is the hysterical campaign of personal destructing being waged against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh over decades-old allegations of sexual abuse that would likely never stand in a court of law.
This despite a leading Democrat in DNC Deputy Chairman Keith Ellison facing charges of physical and emotional abuse from his former girlfriend who actually has proof. But the silence in the media over Ellison’s cruelty is as deafening as it was over his palling around with hatemongering anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan.
Another of the most prominent voices of the political left, weight-challenged filmmaker Michael Moore has been hammering Kavanaugh on his Twitter feed and representing himself as some sort of champion of women.
But at the same time, Moore is trashing his ex-wife over a lawsuit that she filed against the porcine propagandist in which she claims that he is cheating her out of the profits from their joint movie projects.
Like many divorces, the relationship between Moore and Kathleen Glynn went sour and has caused him no small amount of embarrassment when it was revealed that contrary to his scruffy everyman image, that he is a very wealthy man who at the time of the split owned nine homes including an 11,000 square foot lakefront mansion.
Moore is apoplectic over the negative publicity of the non-sexual screwing of his ex which he is railing against as (get this) a smear campaign.
Documentarian Michael Moore says his ex-wife’s lawsuit against him is a malicious end-run around a sealing order in their ongoing Michigan arbitration case filed to “smear” Moore in the press, according to new court documents.Kathleen Glynn, who is also a filmmaker and has worked on many projects with Moore, divorced him in 2014 after a 23-year marriage.Earlier this month Glynn filed a lawsuit against Moore in Manhattan Supreme Court claiming that he was stiffing her on profits from their joint movie projects.Moore’s lawyer, Kenneth Warner, wrote in court papers filed Friday that Glynn sued in order to publicize information that would have remained sealed and confidential if their case had stayed in the Michigan court. It was an attempt to “smear [Moore] in the press with her false allegations,” Warner said, citing The Post’s exclusive coverage of the lawsuit.
Not that you could expect anything other than hypocrisy from a guy who accumulated a small fortune and a good amount of real estate for making films assailing capitalism.
Don’t ever expect the Democrats to practice what they preach because if it wasn’t for double-standards, they’d have no standards at all.
