Now, even the left-wing New York Times is saying that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s cover-up of the state’s COVID-19 deaths is worse than previously known.

The NYT published its new report on Wednesday and is the worst assessment of the governor’s actions yet published by the paper that is usually extremely favorable to him.

According to the paper, Cuomo’s aides continued to cover up the true number of coronavirus deaths in nursing homes from state medical officials for at least five months. The paper also said that Cuomo’s underlings put out a report that lied about the numbers by misleadingly comparing New York to other states.

The Times also said that Cuomo’s administration refused to put out its secret report that had more factual and accurate numbers.

Naturally, Cuomo tried to brush off the Times’ report.

“The whole brouhaha here is overblown to the point where there are cynical suggestions offered for the plain and simple truth that the chamber wanted only to release accurate information that they believed was totally unassailable,” said Cuomo attorney Elkan Abramowitz.

“The chamber was never satisfied that the numbers that they were getting from D.O.H. were accurate,” Abramowitz added.
