23 Articles Deleted After Reporter Fabricated Sources

USA Today had to delete 23 articles after an internal investigation found that a reporter had fabricated sources and gave investigators false evidence in an attempt to cover her tracks.
“After receiving an external correction request, USA Today audited the reporting work of Gabriela Miranda,” the outlet said in a statement.
“The audit revealed that some individuals quoted were not affiliated with the organizations claimed and appeared to be fabricated. The existence of other individuals quoted could not be independently verified. In addition, some stories included quotes that should have been credited to others.”
Miranda had recently resigned from the paper during the investigation, according to the New York Times.
USA Today concluded that Miranda “took steps to deceive investigators by producing false evidence of her news gathering, including recordings of interviews,” the Times reported. “USA Today had a separate story-fabrication scandal in 2004, when the newspaper accused a Pulitzer Prize finalist and correspondent, Jack Kelley, of making up stories and plagiarizing work from other outlets.”
The content of Miranda’s 23 articles was deleted and replaced with an editor’s note that reads, “Editor’s note: This story has been removed from our platforms because it does not meet our standards.“

She performed her task as instructed, don’t believe an editor would let this slip. NYT is about as trustworthy as some chicken tracks made by a bull rooster. That’s just not true. A LOT of people read USA Today and believe the lies it contains, just like all of the other leftist publications. That’s why it’s important for these kinds of things to be exposed – perhaps a handful of leftists will come to their senses (doubtful, but it could happen). More importantly, this might keep those who are a bit more neutral from falling to the left. If, as you say, “no one believes” this leftist garbage, then America wouldn’t be in the shape it’s in today, would it?
