            I have also heard the "calumny and detraction" line from a former bishop who accused me of that when I said I did not believe his plan to shutter parishes was "renewal" of the diocese, just stripping assets and maximizing his power and position. Sorry, but in the real world (i.e., the world outside most bishops' heads) those with power are subject to a hermeneutic of suspicion. Their self-aggrandizing statements of their noble motives are not taken at face value.

                Calling the shuttering of parishes "Renewal" is just gaslighting. In addition to harming you, by closing your place of worship, they have to rape your mind, to tell you what is happening, is not what you know is happening, but something Wonderful! John you were being mocked, for naming what was transpiring for what it was! A travesty! Keep up the fight, and keep calling a spade a spade. A Church closure is a Church closure, and it is not any sort of renewal! These wolves will not stop closing all our churches until there is not one left open. And they have all the assets of the Church in off shore accounts, far from the hands of any men and women of Faith. God Bless you for standing up for the Truth.

                  Recall how Wuerl in 2018 voiced how "Bishops should investigate allegations of abuse in their dioceses." Stika certainly seems to have taken "Self-Investigation" to a whole new level!

                                  Richard Stika has to be removed, if he does not step down of his own accord. The Catholics of Knoxville deserve better than this OFF Ordinary. All these evil, homosexual prelates need to be removed, by force if necessary. The faithful require and deserve better men then these.
