Kirk Cameron had four brutal words of advice for corporations like Bud Light about pushing the woke agenda
Bud Light may never recover from its decision to sponsor transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney.
After more than two months, the boycott shows no signs of ending in the near future.
And Kirk Cameron had four brutal words of advice for corporations like Bud Light about pushing the woke agenda. Anheuser-Busch has lost billions of dollars over the backlash to entering Bud Light into a sponsorship with radical transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney.
After 22 consecutive years of leading the beer industry in sales, Bud Light just lost its top spot to Modelo Especial.
“Modelo Especial store sales topped $333 million in the four weeks ending May 28, a 15.6 percent rise on the same period last year, compared with Bud Light’s $297 million, a 22.8 percent fall,” Newsweek reported. “Separate NielsenIQ sales data obtained by Newsweek via industry consultancy firm Bumps Williams Consulting showed Modelo Especial’s sales were about $341.9 million in the week ending May 27, compared with Bud Light sales of about $298.6 million.”
And just when it couldn’t get any worse for the company, former star of Growing Pains and current author Kirk Cameron released a video on social media slamming Bud Light for making a “big mistake.” “Big mistake,” Cameron wrote above the video. “You forgot to read the room. This one’s on me, Bud.”
Cameron then tagged Bud Light and asked his followers to “wake up the woke” and “tag the companies you miss the most.”
The actor, writer, and producer offered up his own suggestions, starting with Northface, Ford, and Nike, three companies who have embraced the woke madness.
The video has currently been viewed more than 280,000 times.
“Hey Bud Light, I know what happened,” Cameron says at the beginning of the video. “It’s a rookie mistake,” he continued, before adding “you forgot to read the room.” He then showed Bud Light “how to make a commercial that connects with your audience.”
The narrator of the video calls on the “moms and dads of America” who love their kids, God, and their country and are “tired of watching companies betray your values and ruin great products” as an image of Dylan Mulvaney in front of a set of Bud Light cans shows on the screen.
“Invest your time, energy, and money into the people that are building the country you want for your kids and standing for the values that will lead to their blessing and protection,” the narrator continues.
Cameron’s Christian-based children’s book company, Brave Books, the narrator says, is based around traditional values.
