A birthday party at a skating rink is supposed to be a celebration.

But all hell was breaking loose at one party in the Sunshine State.

And a riot at a Florida skating rink looked like the Royal Rumble in this shocking video.

Wild brawl breaks out at Florida skating rink involving hundreds of people

A skating rink in Florida became the sight of absolute mayhem when a massive brawl broke out.

The Astro Skate skating rink in Brandon, Florida, near Tampa, was supposed to be the site of a party.

A group planned on renting out the rink and throwing a big private birthday party.

Astro Skate’s policies state that anyone throwing a private party needs to hire an off-duty police officer for security at their event.

The party group refused to pay for the security, so Astro Skate canceled their event.

Canceling the event did not sit well with the organizers of the party.

So, they used social media to encourage people to show up to the skating rink to confront Astro Skate’s management and the police.

A crowd of 400 to 500 people showed up at Astro Skate which resulted in a huge fight that turned into a riot.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the skating rink to try and restore law and order.

“Following this, the ‘party group’ took to social media asking people to come and riot at the business and confront law enforcement, which led to a large crowd gathering and fighting in the parking lot. When deputies arrived, they encountered a crowd of approximately 400-500 people,” the sheriff’s office said.

Businesses surrounding the skating rink were broken into including a barber shop and a 7-11.

“One group broke away and attacked a juvenile inside the Time Out Barber Shop,” the sheriff’s office continued. “The victim was beaten and thrown through the shop’s plate-glass window. The victim was transported to Tampa General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries but had a severe cut on his hand.”

Sheriff’s deputies arrested 23 juveniles and 6 adults at the skating rink riot.

Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said that deputies were attacked by the rioters.

“I am outraged by the violent and disruptive behavior that targeted hard-working people and businesses and created harm, fear and chaos in our community,” Chronister said. “Let me make this unequivocally clear: this violent and destructive behavior will never, under any circumstances, be tolerated.”

Skating rink owner shares his story

Astro Skate owner Chris Manganias described the chaos during an appearance on Fox & Friends First.

He said he refunded the money for the party, but the group was determined to start a fight.

“It’s a different world, man,” Manganias said. “You’ve got 12, 13, 14-year-old kids cussing, screaming, threatening the police. And then the mamas come and say that ‘Oh they’re just children.’ And I’ve been dealing with children my whole life. What you see on that camera? Those are not children.”

Manganias said that the crowd began to target other businesses in the area after he refused to let them in.

“They dispersed, but then they went up and down the block attacking people and destroying people’s businesses. So, this is the climate right now with that element,” Manganias explained.

His skating rink doubled as an amateur Royal Rumble when the situation got out of hand.
