A Catholic Priest gave this Florida woman one communion that she will never forget

Holy Communion ceremonies are an important rite in the Catholic Church.

The bread represents Jesus’ body, and the wine represents the blood he shed on the cross.

But a Catholic Priest gave this Florida woman one communion that she will never forget.

Of the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church, Holy Communion is the most important.

The Catholic Church has strict guidelines for receiving Holy Communion that must always be followed.

First, Catholics must be in a state of grace to partake in Communion.

Second, they must have been to confession since their last mortal sin.

They must also believe in the doctrine of transubstantiation and observe the Eucharistic fast.

Father Fidel Rodriguez offered Communion during a Mass on May 19 in St. Cloud, Florida.

That morning, Father Rodriquez refused to give one woman Communion bread because “she did not do the prior steps necessary” to be able to take part in the holiest of holy sacraments.

He offered her a blessing and “advised her to receive the Sacrament of Penance (Confession) before coming back to receive Holy Communion (Eucharist).”

According to a police affidavit, the woman did as instructed and returned to the Church to receive Communion during the noon Mass.

The Diocese of Orlanda released a statement that said, “Father Rodriquez asked her if she “had been to the Sacrament of Penance (Confession), to which she stated it was not his business.”

She claims that Father Rodriquez “became upset and tried to ram the ‘cookie’ in her mouth.”

When that happened, she tried to grab another piece of Communion bread from the plate the Father was holding.

However, the Priest bit her arm when she grabbed the bread.

“Father Rodriguez offered the woman Holy Communion on the tongue. At that point, the woman forcefully placed her hand in the vessel and grabbed some sacred Communion hosts, crushing them,” the Diocese wrote in a statement. “Having only one hand free, Father Rodriguez struggled to restrain the woman as she refused to let go of the hosts,” the statement continued. “When the woman pushed him and reacted to a perceived act of aggression, Father Rodriguez bit her hand so she would let go of the hosts she grabbed.”

Upset, the woman reported the incident to police and told them that the Priest “would not let go of the communion tray and the only way he thought to extract her from it was to bite her arm.”

Police photographed the bite mark after the woman refused medical attention.

The Ninth Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office wrote in a statement that “we have received the case, and it is currently under review to determine the appropriate course of action.”
