Prayers for Worry

Worrying can be harmful not only to our emotional health, but also to our physical health. Excessive worrying can lead to depression and can even cause us to become physically ill. When we worry, we get so lost in what “might” happen that we lose sight of our peace and happiness, and can no longer find our inner calm. If you are a chronic worry, there is hope, and that hope can be channeled through prayer. Free yourself from stress and anxiety with these seven prayers for worry. Say these silently or out loud and watch change happen. Cast your anxieties on the Lord and do not be anxious about anything for God is with you.

Cast Your Care On Him

Heavenly Father, I’d like to apologize to You right now. Sometimes I forget to cast all my cares upon You, and spend more time and effort in worrying than focusing on the peace that comes from resting in Christ. Help me to open my understanding through Your Word and realize that worry not only robs me of our joy and peace in the Lord, but is rooted in the sin of unbelief. Whenever I am lost, please provide me with a better understanding that You alone are the One that will replace foolish worries with divine wisdom. Amen.

Calm Your Worried Soul

Heavenly Father, I am very concerned with things that are going wrong with my job and with my family– my finances and my relationships. It feels like everything is crashing in around me. I come to You as I have nowhere else to turn. I know that fear of the future is causing me to worry and fear - and I know that it is not Your will that Your children are distressed about the things of this life. I know that You have told us not to fear and yet it is hard when life is becoming so difficult. Please free me from all worry. Help me to fix my mind away from the concerns of life and on You. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank You for granting me abundant mercy and for the Grace I receive from You. I ask You to give me peace in mind, body, soul and spirit. Please heal and remove everything that is causing stress, grief, and sorrow in my life. I also ask that You guide my path through life and that I make peace with my stressors and my enemies. May Your peace reign in my family, in my place of work, businesses and everything I am involved with today. Amen.

Remove My Burdens

Heavenly Father, I need You now. I am so full of stress and anxiety. I ask that You come in and take my heavy burdens. I take each burden one by one and lay them at your feet. Please carry them so I don’t have to. Replace them with Your humble and gentle yoke so that I will find rest in my soul today. I know that I can find peace in You Lord, because You will keep me safe. Amen.

Healing Stress

Heavenly Father, I come to You today with a tremendous amount of stress on my heart. Please grant me peace of mind and calm my troubled heart. My soul is like a turbulent sea. I can't seem to find my balance so I stumble and worry constantly. Give me the strength and clarity of mind to find my purpose and walk the path You've laid out for me. I trust Your Love God, and know that you will heal this stress. Amen.

Financial Relief

Heavenly Father, I am overwhelmed by my current financial situation this week. I don’t know how I am going to make it this month. I am so lost right now and I need Your help and guidance. I ask that You would provide me with a plan to deal with my current circumstances so that I may be able to provide a safe and healthful life for myself and my loved ones. I trust You completely Father, and I will declare Your grace and mercy, because You are good. Amen.
