Sean Duffy shut down one big lie Democrats told about DOGE with two words

Democrats are on the warpath against the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
They launched one vicious smear campaign against it.
And Sean Duffy shut down one big lie Democrats told about DOGE with two words.
Democrats blame Donald Trump and DOGE for plane crashes
Democrats are never going to let a tragedy go to waste.
A series of plane crashes were politicized to attack President Donald Trump and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
The American Airlines passenger jet that collided with an Army Black Hawk helicopter in Northern Virginia near Reagan National Airport became the first major airline crash since 2009.
A private jet crashed in Philadelphia, and a Delta regional jet flipped over landing at an airport in Toronto.
Democrats and their media allies began to blame Trump and DOGE for planes falling from the sky.
About 350 new hires at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as part of the Trump administration’s plan to slash the size of the federal workforce.
Democrats seized on this to falsely claim that Trump was gutting the FAA and putting travelers in danger with cuts to key safety roles.
Representative Eric Swalwell (D-CA) summed up the attitude of Democrats by blaming Trump for every plane crash.
“Trump is President. President Trump is in charge of air safety. All crashes are Trump’s fault,” Swalwell ranted.
Sean Duffy gives Democrats a reality check on aviation safety
Democrats are grasping at straws trying to attack Trump.
Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy shot down critics of cuts at the FAA during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s America’s Newsroom.
Host Bill Hemmer listed off the recent plane crashes and asked Duffy to respond to critics who claim now isn’t the time to fire employees at the FAA.
“So, Bill, there’s fat everywhere in government and in DOT as well. But let’s be clear, at FAA, we cut 352 people out of 50 — I mean, sorry, 46,000 people. That’s 0.8 percent of the workforce.”
The employees let go at the FAA and across the federal government are new hires who are still in their probationary period.
“These were probationary workers. They were employed for less than a year at DOT,” Duffy explained. “So, these weren’t the old school, really ingrained employees of the DOT. And not only that, we kept all the critical safety positions and we actually hired more positions into critical safety, like air traffic controllers. We hired more inspectors for things like pipelines and for aircraft. So, again, we have a safety mission.”
The workers in charge of aviation safety were exempt from being let go.
“But for people to say that because we cut 352 people out of 46,000, that that’s a risk to safety, give me a break. I mean, that’s just plain politics as opposed to saying, let’s cut the fat,” Duffy said.
Democrats and their media allies are throwing things against the wall to see if they stick as they look for an angle of attack against Trump.
They’re politicizing a tragedy because they think it can help them score political points.
