As 2026 comes to an end, it is impossible to ignore how painful and challenging this year has been for the Jewish community. Across the world, we have seen repeated attacks on Jewish schools, synagogues, and community centers. Two weeks ago, terrorists murdered 15 innocent people at a Hanukkah gathering in Bondi Beach for one reason: they were Jewish.
This tragedy was a stark reminder that antisemitism is a global threat and that radical hatred continues to spread at an alarming pace.
As this difficult year comes to a close, many of us are spending these days with family and friends, reflecting and finding moments of rest. But even during this time, antisemitism does not pause. Hate continues to spread, and the need to respond remains urgent. That is why, before the year ends, we invite you to join us in taking action. Below are three meaningful ways you can stand with the Combat Antisemitism Movement and help confront antisemitism around the world.
Action One:
Defend Historical Truth and Jewish Identity
Over the past month, we have witnessed a coordinated global campaign claiming that Jesus was Palestinian. Across social media and public demonstrations, images of Jesus wearing a Palestinian keffiyeh have circulated widely. The goal of this campaign is to erase Jesus’ Jewish identity and deny Jewish indigeneity to the land of Israel. In response, we are launching a global social media call under the hashtag #JesusWasJewish to reclaim historical truth and protect the shared history of Jews and Christians from distortion.
Denying Jesus’ Jewish identity is not a harmless narrative. It is another form of antisemitism that seeks to erase Jewish history, sever Jews from their ancestral homeland, and misuse religious history to fuel modern hatred.
During Jesus’ lifetime, the term Palestine did not exist.
We call on you to take part by posting the images below on social media or by sharing CAM’s posts, and by reminding others of this simple historical fact.
In recent weeks in Toronto, antisemites attempted to intimidate the Jewish community by removing and destroying mezuzahs from Jewish homes. This act was meant to frighten Jews into hiding, echoing some of the darkest chapters in our history.
Hatred must be met with pride and strength, not only by Jews but by everyone who believes antisemitism has no place in our society. When antisemitism appears, we all must stand together.
In response, CAM launched a global call to action encouraging people to fill the streets and social media with mezuzahs. We invite you to take part by posting a photo of a mezuzah using the hashtag #MezuzahChallenge. You can share your own mezuzah, one you find online, or install one on your door with help from our partner MyZuzah.
Action Three:
Sustain the Fight Against Antisemitism Worldwide
In just seven years, the Combat Antisemitism Movement has emerged as a leading organization combating antisemitism worldwide. Our work is rooted in action and policy. We collaborate with mayors, governors, attorneys general, legislators, and local officials to advance real responses to antisemitism.
We conduct research, provide data to inform policy, advise decision-makers, train law enforcement, work with faith leaders and public figures, and hold institutions accountable. As antisemitism rises, so does the demand for our work. Our team is ready to meet this moment. With increased support, we aim to respond to every request in the year ahead.
We do not fundraise year-round. We focus on the work and ask for support once a year to sustain it.
As we enter the new year, we do so with resolve, responsibility, and hope. Together, we can ensure that truth prevails over hate and that Jewish life is lived openly, proudly, and safely everywhere.
We wish you and your family a happy, healthy, and peaceful New Year. May it be a year of strength, unity, and progress for our entire community.
Warm regards,
