Many Christians 'Assume Their Prayers Are Not Heard Because They Did Not Pray Correctly,' Says Max Lucado

When are they going to impeach this monster?
I remember back in 2004, when Obama gave the keynote address at the Democratic Convention, I was deeply troubled in my spirit and that it was an omen of great distress and turmoil. I had never heard of this man, but I knew we would hear from him again, and that it was would not bear well for us. In fact, many laughed at me in 2008 when I said that Obama would be elected, but after eight years, he would NOT leave office.
I still do...n't know how. Maybe there will be a National "Emergency," and he will declare, by executive order, that all elections will be revoked. Don't tell me he can't do that. He has done all kinds of things he has no authority to do.When are they going to impeach this monster? But it's worse than that. The whole administration is corrupt. I will so far as to say the Democratic Party is corrupt. They must be because they say and do nothing to stop the destruction.

Many Christians 'Assume Their Prayers Are Not Heard Because They Did Not Pray Correctly,' Says Max Lucado
Many Christians Assume
Minister and author Max Lucado of Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, Texas, has released his latest fiction book, Miracle at the Higher Grounds Café, which deals with various Christian topics, including prayer.
The book's main character, Chelsea Chambers, splits from her star NFL husband and begins working at the Higher Grounds Café. A stranger that could be an angel walks through the door of the café one day followed by a unique string of events that leads many people to the coffee shop in search of answers to life's biggest questions.
Many of these people rely on this place for answers to what could be considered their prayers. Lucado explains that Christians who look at prayer this way don't see themselves as adequate enough to have their prayers answered.
"That's one of the most common struggles that people have," Lucado told The Christian Post. "They assume that their prayers are not heard because they didn't pray correctly."
Lucado further emphasized that some teachers within the Christian faith intimidate believers at times by making them feel they need to have a certain passion or be in a certain place for their prayer to be heard.
"It's easy [for people] to draw the conclusion that prayer is a privilege for the uniquely skilled or the very pious people when really, in the Bible, the power of prayer is not in the one who says it, but in the one who hears it," Lucado continued. "Prayer is strong because God is strong. Prayer works because God works."
Lucado uses the character Chelsea as the catalyst for this principle as she finds that the more honest she is in her prayers the more results she sees from them.
He believes prayer should be an honest conversation with God and not a repetitive ritual. He also doesn't find his personal prayer life to be a very complicated one.
"I don't pray for long periods of time. I do know people who do pray for 50, 60 or 70 minutes. My prayers are relatively brief. The times I really feel blessed through prayer is when my prayers are sincere — when I kind of think through what I'm going through, or I'm going through a hard time and I use that prayer to talk to God about everything."
Though he respects those who pray for long periods of time, Lucado doesn't beat himself up for keeping his relatively short, and believes much of how prayer is conducted between a person and God is based on their personality.
Lucado believes that fictional entertainment provides a great vehicle for teachers to convey principles, such as the ones found in Miracle at the Higher Grounds Café.
"Fiction allows an author to still teach but to embed the teaching in a story. And there are many people who would prefer fiction over a non-fiction book, just because it's more engaging and entertaining. And I'm kind of the same way. I love a great story," he told CP.
Lucado has written various non-fiction books and just a few short fiction projects which includes one Christmas themed work. Higher Grounds is his longest fictional work to date and could be considered a novel.
"It's hopefully an encouraging story that gives people a couple of hours of really good entertainment, but also gives them some inspiration as well," he said.
The story inspires as God is out to get the main character Chelsea's attention despite everything falling apart around her.
Miracles At The Higher Ground Café is available wherever books are sold.

The Real Reason There's So Much Unchecked Sin in the Church

Where's the place for divine discipline in the church? (Lightstock)
The gospel is for everyone. All sinners are welcome—liars, thieves, whoremongers, prostitutes, murderers, homosexuals, drunkards and drug addicts. The poor, the downtrodden, the broken-hearted, the outcast and the rejects of society are all welcome.
The gospel is also for those who appear sweet and nice but are full of inward vice. And let's not forget the self-righteous, religious citizens, who also outwardly appear beautiful, but internally are dead in their trespasses and sins—they, too need salvation. The gospel is also for the professional people, such as doctors, lawyers and successful business people who seem to have it all together, but inwardly are full of dead men's bones.
The gospel of Jesus Christ excludes no one and puts the highest value on humanity than any other religion ever known to mankind.
But once a sinner is saved and becomes a member of the body of Christ in a local church, the fellowship is no longer all-inclusive. There was a certain standard established by the early apostles to remain a part of the Christian fellowship. Anyone practicing a lifestyle of sin was to be avoided and rejected, but only after relational steps had been taken in an attempt to bring them to repentance and restoration (Matt. 18:15-17).
Immoral persons were not permitted in the fellowship (1 Cor. 5:9). Nor were those who were unruly and walked disorderly (2 Thes. 3:6). Domineering and sectarian leaders were excluded (3 John 9-11). Those who defiled their separation from the world were excommunicated (Rev. 3:15-16). Fellowship was also based on believing and receiving the doctrine of Christ (2 John 9-11).
Today this sort of divine discipline is clearly missing from church practice. Many don't understand the ramifications of its neglect or how to employ it. Yet in the early days of the church, it was used to preserve the purity and unity of the body of Christ. It was enforced by mature, authorized ministers and a church filled with the love of God who had a single eye toward the glory of God. Also, it was only exercised when other means had been exhausted, and such cases were rare.
Nevertheless, beginning with the first case of Ananias and Sapphira, when divine discipline was exercised, we see a great fear coming on the church that brought a halt to any such sinful behavior or serious misconduct in others (Acts 5:1-11). When believers recognize the supernatural element in divine authority, they will not be so reckless and irresponsible in their behavior. Granted, the number of cases where this sort of divine judgment was exercised was small, but it was used as a means to purify the church and preserve its unity.
Believers who would hastily pronounce divine judgment on others should be warned against the danger of using any gift of God for vengeance or vindication. Unfair or unjust discipline that is applied for selfish reasons is contrary to the will of God and will not work. The church is imperfect and there will always be immaturity and carnality manifested among the saints. However, when a serious situation arises that threatens the purity and unity of the church, immediate action should be taken.
"Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven" (Matt. 18:18).
In such serious cases as the man in 1 Corinthians 5 who was committing incest with his stepmother, or the two men, Hymenaeus and Philetus, who denied the resurrection and were overthrowing the faith of some (2 Tim. 2:17-18), God has given the church supernatural authority to bind and loose and keep the church free of desecration.
Could the absence of this type of divine discipline in the church today be the reason she is so divided and defiled, and commands so little respect from the world? Could the reason this discipline is not being applied when necessary also be due to the shortage of godly, mature leadership in the church?
I propose we look at what Scripture says on this important topic with fresh, new eyes and a teachable spirit that is ready to receive the Holy Spirit's enlightenment.

U.S. by March, 23rd 2013 it is stated in the Obama Health Care Bill !A Microchip implementation will be mandatory for all american citizens living in the

H.R. 3200 section 2521, Pg. 1001, paragraph 1. in the Obama Health care bill.

This new law requires an RFID chip implanted in all living in te U.S. This chip will not only contain your personal information with tracking capability but it will also be linked to your bank account. And get this, Page 1004 of the new law (dictating the timing of this chip), reads, and I quote: "No later than 36 months after the date of the enactment". It is now the law of the land that by March 23, 2013 we will all be required to have an RFID chip underneath our skin and this chip will be link to our bank accounts as well as have our personal records and tracking capability built into it.
