Niki Minaj Makes Eloquent Appeal For The Protection Of Nigeran Christians… And ALL Religious Freedom

Every once in a while, a celebrity will do something good that surprises you

Some times, bad situations can bring out the best side of people. In this case, the horrible suffering of Nigerian Christians has shown the world a side of Niki Minaj that many of us might never have otherwise known about.

She is capable of a passion and eloquence that, rightly directed, can do a lot of good in the world, as we see in this speech she gave at the UN.

What began as an online interaction responding to the Trump administration’s call for Nigeria’s government to put an end to sectarian religious violence targeting staggering numbers of Christian villagers for death or kidnapping for ransom, culminated in an invitation by the American ambassador to to the UN to speak to the world on this topic.

She came in nervous, this is a very different public appearance than the one she is accustomed to making. But she handled herself very admirably.

Many who only know her through her music, and some of her more, shall we say, ‘attention-getting’ performances on stage might never have guessed she had this side to her.

She praised the Trump administration for “taking urgent action in calling for urgent action to defend Christians in Nigeria, to combat extremism, and to bring a stop to violence to those who simply want to exercise their natural right to freedom of religion or belief.”

“We don’t have to share the same beliefs in order to respect each other.”

“Religious freedom means we all can sing our faith regardless of who we are, where we live, and what we believe. But today, faith is under attack in way too many places. In Nigeria, Christians are being targeted, driven from their homes, and killed. Churches have been burned, families have been torn apart, and entire communities live in fear constantly, simply because of how they pray.”

Those are some powerful sentiments, beautifully said.

And did you notice how she appealed to ‘Natural Rights’?

Kind of ironic that Miss Minaj is praising Trump for defending natural rights of Nigerian Christians to exercise their freedom of religion when Biden’s government turned their back on the problem, ENDING the ‘country of particular concern’ status’ for religious rights violations that has been attached to Nigeria under both Trump Presidencies.

Ironic because Natural Rights happened to be the exact topic that Biden went on a bizarre rant against during the Senate Hearing to confirm him.

Three decades later he was president and STILL took no interest in natural rights… a position that was very much embodied in his policies. Or at least, whoever it was that was writing those policies.
