SICK — Remember Obamacare? You know, the Democrats’ health care plan dubbed the “Affordable Care Act,” which they passed without a single Republican vote? Well, in Opposite World—also known as Congress—Obamacare has been anything but affordable. Now the Democrats want Republicans to spend another $350 billion to bail out their huge failure. The left ruins everything.

Conservatives warned that government-run health care was a bad idea that would only raise costs. And we’ve been proven right again.

FOOD FIGHT — Republicans finally got Democrats to swallow their pride and reopen the government by passing the continuing resolution. Democrats threw a tantrum for more than 40 days, demanding $1.5 trillion to undo Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill,” but they got nothing.

The verse for today:

“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” — Philippians 1:21.

What are you living for? Have you seen the bumper sticker that reads, “He who dies with the most toys wins”? Paul would disagree.

He wrote the book of Philippians while in a Roman prison. He had lost his freedom, but not his joy in the Lord. Do you know why? Because his identity was in Jesus—not in the things of this world. His purpose was to tell everyone about the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

It was Paul’s identity and purpose that caused him to say, “to die is gain.” Why? Because death would simply usher him into the presence of Jesus, which is what Paul desired most.

Now ask yourself: What do you own that death cannot take away? Think about it. Death will take away your family, friends, time, money, and possessions. The only thing death cannot take away is Jesus. If you’re not living for Jesus, then death will make you the biggest loser.
