FUNNY Michael Moore Mocked for Warning of Human Extinction, 'Thanks to Trump'

Michael Moore responded to President Trump's latest executive orders with a rather dire warning about the environment. 
Moore said Trump's rollback of Obama-era environmental regulations will be looked upon in the future as the beginning of the end for humans on Earth. 
"Historians in the near future will mark today, March 28, 2017, as the day the extinction of human life on earth began, thanks 2 Donald Trump," the liberal filmmaker wrote on Twitter.
The remark generated some humorous responses from conservatives, which was noticed by Twitchy.Michael Moore

Trump has signed orders killing all of Obama's climate change regulations. The EPA is prohibited henceforth from focusing on climate change.

And other commenters called out Moore for possibly being overly dramatic... 
Moore has been one of the most outspoken liberal critics of Trump's policies. 
Last week, he called on Democrats to declare a "national emergency" due to the FBI's investigation of possible coordination between Trump's campaign and Russia.
He also blasted Trump for honoring the widow of a fallen Navy SEAL in an address to Congress, arguing that it showed the "sickness of this man."Charles C. W. Cooke

New PA Principal Issues Suspensions to Half of High School's Students

There's a new sheriff - actually a principal - in town in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. 
After taking over in January, Lisa Love issued suspension notices to almost half of the 1,100 students at Harrisburg High School, PennLive reported.
Officials handed out 500 suspension notices at the beginning of this week as part of a truancy crackdown. 
They said many parents were able to provide documentation so previous absences would not be recorded as unexcused.
Love said she wanted to do something "radical" to send a message amid the school's struggles with low test scores and graduation rates. 
And Love also pointed out that many students who do show up don't actually go to class, instead hanging out in the halls, cafeteria or in the gym. 
"If you're not in class, all you're here to do then is to wreak havoc upon the school and disrupt the work that we are trying to do here. And that's to focus on student achievement," she said.

NBC Skips Own Poll Showing Majority Oppose Dems Blocking Gorsuch

Providing cover for the Democratic Party’s unpopular decision to filibuster Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch, on Thursday, NBC’s Today skipped the network's own new poll showing 54% of Americans opposed Democratic efforts to block a Senate vote on the judge. The findings were posted on NBCNews.com at 6 a.m. ET, one hour before the morning show began.
The NBC News/SurveyMonkey poll found that 54% of Americans thought Senate Democrats should allow a vote on Gorsuch, while only 37% were in favor of liberal lawmakers blocking the nominee. 84% of Republicans and 54% of independents supported a fair up or down vote for Gorsuch, while only 31% of Democrats did.

The March 24 broadcast of Today featured White House Correspondent Kristen Welker admitting that Gorsuch had made it through his confirmation hearing “unscathed,” but still attempted to justify Democrats’ filibuster push since they were “still angry over Republicans’ refusal to give President Obama's Supreme Court pick, Merrick Garland, a hearing.”   
Now that the evidence shows that Democrats are in political hot water over their partisan obstructionism, NBC is suddenly silent on the matter.  
On Wednesday, a new Politico poll showed a plurality of voters, 44%, thought Gorsuch should be confirmed as the next Supreme Court Justice, while only 23% objected. However, as Mediaite’s Matthew Balan pointed out, Politicoburied that finding in its write-up about the survey.
