Iranian Senior Official: Destroying Israel is Muslim World’s Top Priority

31
Iran’s saber-rattling and its calls to destroy Israel are more or less constant, and the bloodthirsty Islamic regime in Tehran doesn’t mean just to talk; it will act to destroy Israel as soon as it possibly can. The United Nations would not tolerate these repeated vows by one member state that it will wipe out another member state, and direct action to do so, if the targeted nation were any one other than Israel. But when it comes to Israel, any threat, any provocation, any outrage is welcomed by the UN, which is dominated by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
This is yet more of the poison fruit of Obama’s nuclear pact with the world’s leading state sponsor of terror. And there will be even more. It is no small comfort that we now have a President that won’t lay down to these savages. Hit ’em hard.
“Iranian Senior Official: Destroying Israel is Muslim World’s Top Priority,” United with Israel, November 27, 2018 (thanks to Mark):
The struggle against the “Zionist regime” is the top issue for the Muslim world and therefore Iran retains an unwavering policy of siding with the Palestinians against Israel, senior Iranian official Asidingar Velayati stated.
Addressing a gathering of scholars of the Islamic Awakening Supreme Council in Tehran on Monday, Velayati, an international adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stated that the liberation of Jerusalem from Israel’s rule and fighting the “racist Zionist regime” are the “main and number one issue[s] of the Islamic world.”
“All sinister plots hatched by the US, international Zionism and reactionary Arab states aim to marginalize the Palestinian cause to make up for their defeats and failures,” he said, Iran’s Tasnimnews reported.
Iran provides vast support to Palestinian terror organizations, including Hamas, which rules Gaza, as part of its global Islamic terror network.
Addressing an annual Islamic Unity Conference on Saturday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that “one of the ominous results of World War II was the formation of a cancerous tumor in the region.” He also referred to Israel as a “fake regime” set up by Western countries.

ISRAEL KNOWS HOW TO DEFEND ITSELF

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to his remarks by calling on more countries to join the US’ sanctions against the “Iranian terrorist regime.”
“Israel knows very well how to defend itself from the murderous Iranian regime,” Netanyahu stated Saturday.
“Rouhani’s slander, which calls for the destruction of Israel, proves yet again why the nations of the world need to join in the sanctions against the Iranian terrorist regime which threatens them,” he added.
Iran does not recognize Israel and regularly calls for its destruction….

NPR Sanitizes Iran’s Anti-Semitism: They’re Good To The Jews

NPR Sanitizes Iran’s Anti-Semitism: They’re Good To The Jews

27
It never fails. If there is an entity that hates America, hates the Jews, hates the Christians, hates free society, then the leftist enemedia in the West is ready, and even enthusiastic, to embrace it, whitewash it, and present it to the world as if it were a good and noble thing. It’s unconscionable, but it is not a rare or uncommon occurrence. For the enemedia, this is default mode. NPR’s editorial stance is entirely predictable: watch for features about how evil Trump is, about the rising threat of the “far-right,” about how wonderful Ocasio-Cortez, Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar are, and the like. It’s just another leftist propaganda mill.
“NPR Sanitizes Iran’s Anti-Semitism: They’re Good To The Jews,” by Hank Berrien, Daily Wire, November 28, 2018 (thanks to Mark):
PBS, desperately trying to promote the fiction that Iran is good to Jews, ran a segment in which they interviewed a Jewish member of Iran’s parliament, who insisted that he was happy living in Tehran.
Correspondent Reza Sayah interviewed Siamak Morsadegh, whose wife wanted to move to America 20 years ago and did so, while he refused to leave. Morsadegh insisted that anyone who wanted to leave Iran could leave; he simply did not want to.
Sayeh asked Morsadegh, “Many people outside of Iran are going to remark that you’re not being completely truthful, you’re not being completely open. How can you convince people?” Morsadegh answered, “I cannot convince a man who don’t want to understand our condition, of course.”
Although Jews living in Iran date back over 2,500 years, as Tablet Magazine’s Yair Rosenberg pointed out, there were once 150,000 Jews in Iran; 90% fled Iran in the 20th century….
Sayeh acknowledged, “Not everything is perfect for Iran’s Jews. They’re still kept away from senior government and military positions. Some are believed to be closely monitored by Iran’s intelligence agencies, and many people question if they’re openly expressing their true feelings. And they find themselves in a seemingly difficult position. They live in a country whose leaders are sworn enemies of Israel, the homeland of their faith.”
But there’s another side to the story, as detailed by journalist Annika Hernroth-Rothstein, who visited Iran’s Jewish community in 2016:
Jewish life here comes with carefully constructed rules and understandings, and one of the basic tenets involves separation from and defamation of Zionism and Israel. Outbursts of loyalty to the regime are expected, whether in the form of volunteering for a war or sharing an enemy, and that aspect of Iranian Jewish reality is something I as a European Jew can relate to and fully understand. It is clear that the Jewish community lives with a constant level of suspicion toward outsiders and insiders alike, always fearing treachery and infiltration; and much like in the Soviet Union, people are trying to weed out informants, unsure how to tell friend from foe.
Hernroth-Rothstein asked one woman about the claim that Jews were free to leave for Israel any time they wanted and got a truthful response. The woman stated:
We are allowed by law now, but when you leave the country you have to put up collateral, often everything you own, and usually there is only one visa per family offered at one time. So we can visit, if we do it discretely, but rarely someone leaves. The price would be too high for the rest of us.
