Have you wondered why the pro-Hamas protesters’ are sleeping in matching tents from Amazon? And have you noticed that many of their signs look like they just came from the sign printer? Who is paying for this? According to the New York Post: ‘George Soros and other elites are funding the campus agitators stoking anti-Israel, antisemitic protests.’ Of course, the Washington Post. And how did these college students get so twisted in their thinking that they would support terrorists who slaughter innocent women and children? Townhall’s Derek Hunter says, “These protests are the result of bad parenting and an education system churning out morons.” As Walt Kelly’s famous cartoon Pogo said, “We have met the enemy and he is us.” “In the long term, we are all dead.” This was John Maynard Keynes’ famous answer to the question about the long-term consequences of Keynesian economics which called for government investment - ‘spending.’ As you can see in my cartoon, the real monster under the bed of future generations is the national debt of $34.6 trillion. In Dave Breese’s book, 7 Men Who Rule The World From The Grave, he wrote, “Keynes did not envision government intervention as a permanent factor in the economy but rather saw it as a temporary stimulant to bring on further employment and raise the levels of business investment activity.” * But future generations have come to see the government as the final resource and the answer to every problem. In essence, government had taken the place of God. British author and theologian G.K. Chesterton said, “Once abolish the God, and the government becomes the God.” Keynesian economics was the fulfillment of that quote. The First Commandment is, “You shall have no other gods before Me” - Exodus 20:3. In the beginning, many asked, “Where does all the money come from?” The deceptive answer from President Franklin Roosevelt’s administration was, “That is no problem because, of course, we only owe it to ourselves.” Initially, that was true. But today, other countries hold our national debt (China, Japan, Brazil). There was a time in America when politicians campaigned on reducing the debt. That is until, conservative Republican President Richard Nixon made a surprise public confession. He said, “I am a Keynesian.” Breese wrote that from that point on, “No presidential candidate has seriously promised to reduce the debt.” In 1945, there were 42 workers paying for every retiree. By 2010, that ratio was 2.9 to 1. Today it is 2.7 to 1. The troubling fact is, Social Security expected to run out of money in 2034. What then? Print more money? Look, the American experiment of a government of the people, by the people and for the people had a successful beginning because the people were moral and religious. John Adams, the second president of the United States, said, “We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion … Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” Adams was right. National morality has not prevailed in America because we have excluded the most important religious principle — the First Commandment. We replaced God with human government. Politicians, unbridled by moral and religious principles give in to human passions and spend money they don’t have, on things we don’t need, to get elected by voters they don’t like. Biden admin accuses Israeli military of human rights violations in stunning condemnation
State Department finding comes as anti-Israel protests sweep college campuses
5 IDF units responsible for gross human rights violations, US alleges
The U.S. State Department said five IDF units were found responsible for gross human rights violations. While four "effectively remediated," the U.S. remains in "consultations and engagements" with Israel over the fifth unit, a spokesman said.
The U.S. found five units of the Israel Defense Forces responsible "for individual incidents of gross violations of human rights," the State Department announced on Monday – though whether funding to the American ally could be cut over such abuses under the so-called "Leahy Laws" still hangs in the balance.
At a press briefing, State Department principal deputy spokesman Vedant Patel told reporters that the human rights violations happened all before the Oct. 7 attacks by Hamas militants on southern Israel and none happened in Gaza. Four of the units have "effectively remediated," he said, while the U.S. continues "in consultations and engagements with the government of Israel" on the remaining unit.
"They have submitted additional information as it pertains to that unit. And we're continuing to have those conversations consistent with the memorandum of understanding that we have with the government of Israel that was entered into in 2021," he said. "When conclusions are made under actions that fall under the auspices of the Foreign Assistance Act, we are required to consult with officials from the government of Israel, and that is ongoing. We are engaging with them in a process, and we will make an ultimate decision when it comes to that unit when that process is complete."
When pressed by a reporter, Patel admitted that the fifth unit is still eligible to receive U.S. arms at this stage.
"When we're talking about the Leahy Law, what we are talking about our unit and component restrictions, when they are found in violation, it is not have bearing on the broader security relationship that we may have with a country, especially a country like Israel, in which we have a longstanding security relationship. The provision of bulk assistance that's gone back many, many years," Patel added.
A senior State Department official told Fox News that Secretary of State Antony Blinken has raised the matter with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
The State Department says on its website that "the term ‘Leahy law’ refers to two statutory provisions prohibiting the U.S. Government from using funds for assistance to units of foreign security forces where there is credible information implicating that unit in the commission of gross violations of human rights."
Former Vermont Sen. Patrick Leahy had championed legislation that became the Leahy law in the 1990s, saying the U.S. needed a tool to block American military aid and training to foreign security units guilty of extrajudicial killings, rapes, torture and other flagrant human rights abuses.

Rights groups long have accused U.S. administrations, including Biden's, of shirking rigorous investigations of allegations of Israeli military killings and other abuses against Palestinians to avoid invoking such laws aimed at conditioning military aid to lawful behavior by foreign forces, according to The Associated Press.

Israel, meanwhile, says its security forces investigate abuses and its courts hold offenders accountable.
The development comes as Israeli officials are growing concerned that the International Criminal Court could soon issue arrest warrants against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other top officials over charges related to the war in Gaza, reports say.

The court may accuse the senior government figures of pursuing an excessively harsh military response to Hamas’ Oct. 7 attacks on Israel and preventing the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, the New York Times is reporting, citing Israeli and foreign officials.
