On Thursday, the day before the terror attack,
Abbas Zaki, member of Fatah's Central Committee, stated that the committee had
"discussed... the Israeli attacks on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque" and was calling
for "escalation":
"He [Zaki] noted that the
movement has declared this Friday a day of general mobilization to Jerusalem...
He also noted that the [Fatah] Central Committee called on its supporters and
members of the organization to turn this Friday into a day of escalation and
refusal of all the Israeli steps in the holy city [of Jerusalem]."

Zaki further "called on the Palestinian and Arab
masses to participate as widely as possible in the day of rage tomorrow
(Friday), in order to support the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque."

The terrorist murderer Omar Al-Abd, 19, stabbed and
murdered 3 Israelis and severely injured 1 as they were having dinner in
their home in Halamish north of Ramallah on July 21, 2017. Al-Abd was
shot and wounded by a neighbor, and taken into Israeli custody, receiving
necessary medical treatment at an Israeli hospital. Before committing the
attack, Al-Abd wrote in his "will" on Facebook that he was taking his knife to
respond to what was happening at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and did not expect to
return.
Palestinian leaders have ignored the terror attack
last Friday in which 2 Israeli policemen were murdered by terrorists shooting at
them from the Temple Mount. Israel's following security measures, which included
closing the Temple Mount for two days and installing metal detectors at the
entrances to the religious site have been portrayed by Palestinian leaders as
"blatant aggression" and "escalation." Thereby Palestinian leaders justify a
response of violence by Palestinians.
The Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Rami
Hamdallah warned of "religious war" and said "tensions" would
"intensify":
"The prime minister [Hamdallah]
warned against the consequences of the occupation government's steps in
Jerusalem, which began last Friday [July 14, 2017] with the closure of the
Al-Aqsa Mosque (the Temple Mount was closed for two days and afterwards metal
detectors were placed at the entrances to the site in response to a terror
attack there in which 2 were murdered; see note below -Ed.)... [The PA
government] emphasized that what is happening constitutes blatant aggression and
an Israeli plan that is targeting the identity, heritage, and faith of the
Palestinians in Jerusalem, and their presence in the occupied holy city -
something that is only liable to intensify the tensions in Jerusalem in
particular and in the region in general, to lead to an explosion of the
situation, and to ignite a religious war for whose disastrous consequences the
government of Israel will be fully responsible."

rebellion, the Al-Buraq rebellion in the 1920s (i.e., 1929 Hebron Massacre and
accompanying riots), broke out from within the Al-Aqsa Mosque in order to defend
the Arab and Islamic identity of the Al-Buraq Wall (i.e., the Western Wall of
the Temple Mount). During it, the three heroes Muhammad Jamjoum, Ataa Al-Zir,
and Fuad Hijazi (i.e., terrorists, see note below) died as Martyrs
(Shahids) while defending the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The tunnel rebellion
(i.e., Western Wall Tunnel clashes, see note below) also broke out from within
the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in 1996, when [then Israeli Minister Ariel] Sharon
defiled the mosque's plazas (sic., the clashes broke out after Israeli Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu opened an access tunnel. In 2000, the PA launched
its terror campaign of 2000-2005 after Sharon visited the Temple
Mount)."

The Al-Buraq Wall - Islam's
Prophet Muhammad is said to have rode during his Night Journey from Mecca to "al
aqsa mosque", i.e., "the farthest mosque" (Quran, Sura 17), and there tied his
miraculous flying steed named Al-Buraq to a "stone" or a "rock." (Jami`
at-Tirmidhi, Book 47, Hadith 3424). In the 1920's, Arab Mufti Haj Amin
Al-Husseini decided to identify the Western Wall of the Temple in Jerusalem as
that "rock" or "stone," and since then Muslims refer to the Western Wall as the
"Al-Buraq Wall."
Muhammad Jamjoum, Fuad Hijazi,
and Ataa Al-Zir "committed particularly brutal murders
[of Jews] at Safed and Hebron," according to the report by British Government to
the League of Nations. They were convicted of attacking British soldiers and
murdering Jews in the 1929 Hebron Massacre, in which 65 Jews were murdered. They
were executed by the British in 1930.
Western Wall Tunnel
clashes/fighting - refers to three days of Palestinian-Israeli fighting
in September 1996. When Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu opened a tunnel near the
Temple Mount to ease access to and from the Western Wall, Arafat called for
Palestinians to protest violently.

Muhammad Ahmad Muhammad Jabarin,
Muhammad Hamed Abd Al-Latif Jabarin, and Muhammad Ahmad
Mufaddal Jabarin - Israeli Arab terrorists aged 29, 19, and 19, who
shot from the Temple Mount at Israeli policemen, murdering 2 Israeli Druze
border policemen - Haiel Stawi and Kamil Shnaan, on July 14, 2017. Two of the
terrorists were shot and killed by other policemen during the attack. The third
terrorist was shot and killed while trying to flee.
