“I think he is usually a joke, and that is part of the problem."

On Wednesday's Conan, CNN's Van Jones called the President of the United States "a joke...who has found a way to insult, offend, and demean every kind of American.” Nevertheless, the host of The Van Jones Show oddly considered Trump's tweet about him to be "the biggest moment in [his] career."
After O'Brien's introduction of Jones, he explained to the audience that Jones's first show guest had been rapper Jay-Z, who called Trump a "racist superbug." Conan submitted to Jones:
“[Jay-Z] says some things about Trump, and then Trump tweets about what he said on your show. You must have been just on cloud 9.”
The left-wing news commentator affirmed:
“The last time I was that happy I was on Pornhub. It was amazing.”
Jones said the best part of being mentioned by Trump was the onslaught of leftist Trump attacks in response:
“Oprah tweets about it. And then Trump tweets about it. And you’re like, I should have voted for this guy. Because now it’s like we have literally a billion impressions on Twitter. Because once Trump tweets about you, a lot of people have to put him in his place. And it’s wonderful.”
Conan then asked if the event was Trump's first mention of the social justice extremist:
“Has Trump tweeted about you before? You’ve been on CNN for a while now and you have been fairly outspoken.”
"Outspoken" is right: the co-founder of Dream Corps -- a "social justice accelerator" -- declared in 2002 that the September 11th attack was engineered by George Bush.
Jones recounted the President referencing him once before, which eventually went to print:
"You know, he never tweeted about me directly, but there was a time that he, at a press conference -- well, a behind the scenes meeting, said that you know, Van Jones is terrible or whatever. And they printed that. So I took a screenshot and I tweeted it. And then I retweeted it, and unretweeted it and tweeted it again because I wanted to make sure that everybody saw it. It was like the biggest moment in my career."
Despite Jones's affinity for attention from Trump, he dismissed the internationally successful business mogul as "a joke":
“I think he is usually a joke, and that is part of the problem. You know, this is a character test for the country though. ...He has found a way to insult, offend and demean every kind of American. Veterans, black people, doesn’t matter what it is.”
The Left continue to act as if Donald Trump is a nothing of a man who should be disregarded. However, despite their agendized rhetoric, that man beat them in 2016. And so long as they continue to dismiss the voters in their condescension of America's elected leader, he will remain on course to defeat them again in 2020. Van Jones should brace for impact.
