The left’s disregard for Christianity was on full display recently when a Michigan Democrat staffer posed with a statue of Satan in front of the Michigan Capitol.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, the staffer, Samantha Skorka, posed with the Satanic statue and praised it for its looks. She later deleted her post upon receiving backlash.
After being heavily criticized, Skorka wrote, “Well clearly you can’t make a joke on the internet anymore.” This isn’t the first instance that Skorka has shown her disdain for Christianity. On X, the Democrat staffer recently wrote, “Don’t forget to wish a Pagan a happy Yule and a bright solstice,” adding an emoji of a goat — the animal associated with Satan.

Several Republican legislators in Michigan have ordered for the Satanic statue to be removed from the state Capitol.

“We, as members of the Michigan House of Representatives, respectfully request the removal of the statue depicting a satanic goat from the grounds of the Capitol. We believe that its presence not only contradicts the foundational principles of our nation but also promotes a public display of evil,” the lawmakers wrote in a letter.

“Our nation’s ethos is deeply rooted in moral and virtuous principles, as highlighted by John Adams in his letter to the Massachusetts Militia: ‘Morality and virtue are the foundation of our Republic and necessary for a society to be free,’” they added.

“The presence of this statue at the Capitol seems to undermine these core values, which are fundamental to the Republic’s foundation,” the legislators continued.

The Satanic statue was placed in Michigan’s Capitol days after a similar one was erected at Iowa’s Capitol by the leftist atheistic organization, The Satanic Temple.

The statue in The Hawkeye State was eventually torn down by a Christian Navy Veteran from Missouri, Michael Cassidy.

Cassidy told The Sentinel that he destroyed the altar to “awaken Christians to the anti-Christian acts promoted by our government.”

“Anti-Christian values have steadily been mainstreamed more and more in recent decades, and Christians have largely acted like the proverbial frog in the boiling pot of water,” Cassidy told the outlet.

The Satanic Temple has revealed its intention to press charges against Cassidy, who has been charged with second-degree criminal mischief.
